I have to shamefully admit I've never been here in the several years I've lived in Lindenhurst. It is now my favorite breakfast place. Amazing food. Some of the nicest people working and it just felt good to be there. The food was hot, fresh, and perfectly cooked. I 100% recommend this restaurant. It is now my breakfast destination choice!!

Awesome lil spot. I went with my wife, 1 yr old son, sister inlaw and niece. Loved the service and the small town family feel. Good food, excellent service and the cream on top was plenty of parking and it was free.

Lake Villa restaurant is a local gem! The family owned business is epitome of customer service and good food. This is a local diner and serves up traditional diner food that is quality and served with a smile and an accommodating staff.Given this is one of the restaurants that locals flock to, it does get busy and to freshly prepare an order can take a minute; however, very reasonable wait time! I enjoy a relaxed environment and a traditional diner breakfast.When I return to Lake Villa, IL for a visit, I will be visiting LVR!

I was really hoping to find a local gem and perhaps I just ordered the "wrong" thing but the french toast was not great. The toast itself was good, but could have used a little something to make it better like a touch of cinnamon or powdered sugar. The blueberry topping was just canned blueberry pie filling, nothing fresh about it. The staff was welcoming but the service was slow and inattentive and atmosphere wasn't anything special just felt like an old diner in need of TLC.

Good food! Crap hours! I swear hours at restaurants in area getting shorter and shorter. What about the hungry people leaving work? mid-day people have to eat too. Not to mention closed on Monday and Tuesday which completely sucks.

Love this neighbourhood diner! The owners are so nice, the staff is warm and friendly, and the food is great! Homemade soups and pies that rotate daily. Try and catch the cream of spinach! Open for breakfast and lunch with daily specials.

It's been a few months and since I've only been here once, I was surprised the waitress remembered my exact order? Potato soup was hot and very good with a cream base I had the farm steak sandwich with well done fried potatoes. I enjoyed both. If there was something to recommend it would be a longer roll for the sandwich with a good portion hanging out both sides . Service was outstanding from Felicia!
