Just dined here for the first time! (A friend of mine who's a server at nearby Italian steakhouse, Lago, referred me to Eggshells, and told me to check out their corned beef!) His recommendation was spot-on! I had a great meal at Eggshells! Their menu's so big and full of great selections, I couldn't make up my mind, so I ordered the Irish Skillet (which of course had corned beef as its main ingredient) plus the Smoked Salmon Platter (note: this item doesn't come with a bagel, so I ordered an Everything Bagel too)! For drinks, I had coffee and orange juice. Everything tasted fresh and DELICIOUS! Plus, my server, Kaitilin, did a fantastic job with her fast, friendly and efficient service! I also liked how upbeat, welcoming and clean the restaurant looked! I'll definitely be coming back!!!

Used toi be quite good. I hear the partners are splitting, quality has been going downhill for all of 2023. This morning, NYD, the place was empty I ordered eggs benedict with home fries with onions and peppers. I got French Fries with onions and peppers piled on top. Very Snotty obese waitress with glasses, young. She told me French fries and home fries are the same! I got up and left. The hostess another one slightly obese didn't even greet me. Last time there back to Walkers down route 12 or Uncle D's in Wauconda or Honey Bell in Wauconda

Delicious brisket skillet, my current favorite. Very flavorful dish, and staff who do something extra. They also have tasty donuts, and the pumpkin pecan pancakes are delicious!

Average place for an nice average it is good if you like the american diner experience and reminds me very much of my college meal hall/cafeteria. If you are into that i would highly recommend stopping by.
Delicious breakfast with a humble interior. I liked their patio area, but the inside also has a charm of its own. The benedict with grits was much better than I expected and absolutely filled me up before I could even think about the pancake. Still I took my leftovers home because it was that tasty :) Best part of all? Intelligentsia coffee to go with everything. Thanks for the great service! -AT

This is one of the places that makes you happy when you’re there. The staff is some of the best around. The hostess was pleasant and honest about the abundance of bees on the patio and happily sat us inside. Our server was very sweet and attentive.This was one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever eaten out. My scrambled eggs were fresh and fluffy. You don’t get that everywhere. Handoff the bone was thick and tender. The hash browns were thoroughly cooked with just the right amount of crunch. The pancakes were not at all doughy but light and fluffy.I thoroughly enjoyed my meal here and will return because I’m told they have amazing donuts.
