There was no one at front desk, needed some fish to cook but to my perspective the place is more a restaurant than a fish market. I will never visit again.

Food itself was good, unfortunately there were many negatives to the meal. Most notably was the behavior and attitude of the owner. Couldn't apologize for being out of 1/2 of items on pre-fixe menu. When had To walk water carafe over (was empty for over 5-10 minutes) said to leave on counter. He proceeded to not fill it, forget about it, and then berated staff for items he didn't address. This included cursing at them in front of customers! I've never had an experience like this in a restaurant and have worked in them throughout my life. In today's environment of staffing shortages our expectations are very basic, and this meal and experience were a very big letdown. Hopefully, for the staff there will be a change of culture so that the delicious food they put out can be appreciated into the future.

I want to give this place five stars, but I can't. Let's start with the drinks. I understand that you need to make some profit on the alcohol sales. If your going to charge $12 for an old fashioned, then it needs to look like a $12 old fashioned and not a chunky smoothie made with maraschino cherries. We order our appetizers, the calamari appetizer was good but it took a while for our half shell oysters to make it to our table. I needed to remind our waiter about them and then they showed up. The oysters tasted great, but the employee that shucked them did not fully prepare the oysters. We had to detach the oyster from the actual shell ourselves. By this time our drinks are almost done, the waiter isn't paying attention to them and moves on to his next table. At first I thought, well maybe it's because they are busy and short staffed. Then, I watch him service another table that sat down after us. They ordered appetizers and a couple cocktails. Their drinks were replenished at the half way mark. The waiter walks back over to us and doesn't even check on us. I really tired to let that slide and I hope it's a newer waiter. Let's move on to the main course, two lobster rolls and some fries. I've had my fair share of lobster rolls, honestly I've never had a bland one until this place. The lobster meat was kind of dry and some of the bits were actually hard and inedible. By the time we finished the waiter then asked if we would like another drink. We politely declined and asked for our check. This place has all of the components of a great restaurant, but they don't have the components in the right place.

My husband and I love Franco's: it is our go-to date night place. We love the beets and burrata, the cocktails, the lobster rolls. Tonight, the seasonal vegetable - a side! - was magnificent! Sweet potatoes, squash. Zucchini, all roasted. It was so Good. We are always treated like rockstars at Franco's.

A hidden gem! So you pass by this place because you think it's just a fish market... well you are missing out on an amazing dining experience. Beyond the market area is a full fledged 5 star restaurant! Of course the fish is fresh but that is just the beginning. Start with some primo cocktails or a curated wine paired with outstanding appetizer. The main course selections are varied and include more than fish. I opted for the fish choice experience: pick your fresh fish, chose how it's cooked, add a sauce (if you wish) and throw on some spice (your choice too). I chose an 8oz cut of sea bass and let the chef surprise me. I was amazed at the deliciousness of his delectable creation. My wife ordered the mushroom risotto and had them toss in some fresh scallops. This too was outstanding. Don't underestimate this unassuming venue. Make a reservation and head on over to Franco's for a gastronomic treat!

Overall: very good. Tables spaced properly, staff had masks. Since we've been here before our expectations were satisfied. Food: very good, the walleye was undercooked at the thick parts, overcooked at the thinned parts. Crab cakes were split for us on separate plates which was nicely done. Service: outstanding but Kevin our server placed our bottle of wine on the raw bar across the aisle which was more convenient for him, not the customer. The serving was more than a 5-6 ounce pour. Wine was at proper temperature. Ambiance: nicely illuminated, cloth napkins, clean dining area. Plates were not warmed but food was hot. Value: on the high side but quality of food was worth it. Portion sizes was adequate. Noise level: background music too loud and fast; OK for a pub but inappropriate here. We would come back and recommend Franco's to others.

This is by far the best fish/seafood restaurant around. The scallops absolutely melted in your mouth! Preparation was fantastic. Frank is attentive and helpful. We just love seeing a hands-on, helpful owner. The fish is all fresh and you can't go wrong with any choice you make. Wine selection was great too.

Continues to be a go to of ours. We always bring friends who have never been. The freshest fish in the area . Last nigh we had shrimp, halibut and grouper sandwiches...delicious .... have to mention the French fries and wasabi dressing ...cheesecake for dessert . Owner Frank is a hardworking super nice guy .

Food was over cooked and uneatable . Crab cakes were like mush and fishy smelling..Fish sandwich dinner was dry. One bite and could not stomach another. One member of our group tried the bbq ribs. Yes maybe a stretch at a fish restaurant. Ribs were like leather. We left there and went to a drive thru as we were so hungry.

Loved finding a top notch fish restaurant in the northwest suburbs, I had the red snapper fillet with butter capers and wine that was delicious. My husband and I also shared the grill calamari which was wonderful. I lovely side of mixed vegetables that were not over done and a small side of pasta or all awesome.
