“I finally discovered this cosy restaurant which was on my list quite awhile. Everything we tried today was excellent. Miso soup and boiled edamame were just as good as expected. The highlight of my dinner was a sashimi plate! The quality of the medium fatty blue fin tuna and lean blue fin tuna was outstanding. Sake toro and escolar sashimi were mouthwatering. The charred flavor of my husband's squid and mushrooms was delightful. His skewers of chicken and beef were well prepared. His sushi selection of octopus, squid, egg and smoked salmon was fresh and well presented. We were really impressed by the very generous portions and the very fair pricing of the outstanding quality fish compared to the other Japanese restaurants. The sake selection is fantastic and reasonably priced as well. The service was attentive and efficient. We cannot wait to come back. I highly recommend!“
“The all-you-can-eat dinner is a good way to try many things on the menu. I have tried about ten different rolls over the years. My two favorite rolls are Black Dragon and Snow Mountain (see the attached picture). The Snow Mountain Roll is not on the all-you-can-eat menu. For some reason, the salmon tasted slightly fishy this time. One time we came as a large party and only two people wanted the all-you-can-eat option. We were told that everyone at the table needed to order all-you-can-eat. I can understand the reasoning for that.“
“This place pleasantly surprised me!!! You walk in and see how beautiful it is and cannot believe how it is in this location. The tuna rolls , octopus as well as salmon rolls were freshly made and the miso soup is the best around. The staff is so professional as well as kind that you enjoy this place even more . Best sushi I ever had in Illinois“
“Had the hamburger steak curry and it was delicious. Hit the spot and was very comforting. Spot on with japanese flavor. The atmosphere reminds me of a whole in the wall japanese spot. Service was wonderful. Great chill spot.Definitely would have it and eat here again.“
“Excellent little dine-in place with great portions and picture-perfect plating. The Tonkotsu ramen was piping hot and generous with the serving, and the potato croquettes were perfect in just about every way. For the money, it's hard to do much better than this. The dine-in area is a bit spartan, but it does the job. They were playing some lovely City Pop music so the vibes were right. Will be back sometime for sure.“
“Food and service was amazing!Haven't been here for awhile. So sad they got rid of there all you can eat but totally understand why due to cost of food and inflation. As long as there service doesn't suffer, I appreciate them being around.“
“To the person who said slow service, there is only 3 people who work there, they are working hard trying to feed a full dining room, i love this restaurant i have been coming here since i was a baby, literally, they have great service, great food, for a great price, if your willing to pay the price they will give you excellent service, this place is a home to me, they have become my family, i wish all of the staff the best of luck and a good bright future.Vegetarian options: They have gluten free soy sauce and imitation crab so im sure theres alot of stuff people can haveDietary restrictions: They offer gluten free soy sauce and it is awesome! They are also super clean without any cross contamination!Parking: Behind the catlow!“
“Amazing food. This restaurant has the HIGHEST quality salmon (sake) in the Chicagoland area. The portions are generous, and the freshness is unmatched. Service is quick! Ambiance is what you'd expect for a small sushi restaurant. 11/10, I'd highly recommend the Sake Don!“
“Without a doubt this is the best Sushi Restaurant I have had the pleasure to dine in! My wife and I love sushi and we constantly look for sushi restaurants. Our To GO To place used to be Sushi Station in Rolling Meadows but Naomi sushi is just in a hole another level of taste and service! We have tried all the local restaurants such as Sushi Para, Chicago Sushi and Osaku Sushi but Naomi is just next level goodness. Please, do yourself a favor and stop by for dinner, you will thank me later!“
“Tokyo Bowl is one of Vernon Hills' hidden gems. It's tucked away in a strip mall off of Townline Road. Ever since I was a child, I've always asked my parents to take me here for a special lunch. Now, it's my go-to spot for sushi dates. Every dish on the menu is beautifully crafted and undeniably delicious. I would recommend this place to everyone who is a fan of Asian cuisine. If you're someone who doesn't like sushi, you should try the Korean cup-bop or the ramen instead. My favorite dishes are the mango ramen, rainbow roll, and beef cup-bop. I'd like to personally thank the business owner for being such a gentleman and providing the best possible service to all of his customers for the many, many years. You are appreciated!“
“If you're near Libertyville craving some sushi or hibachi, this is the spot to visit. Their sushi rolls are delicious! You must try the Dragon Ferrari and OMG rolls. They won't disappoint you. They're full of flavor. It's probably my 4th time coming to this spot and they never disappoint. If you're feeling hibachi, try the stake and shirmp, it's also delicious!“
“One of my favorite sushi restaurants. I wish it was a little nicer, kinda showing it's age, restaurant is over 10 years old, decors hasn't changed since then. Service is good, and they are attentive.Vegetarian options: Have friends who are vegetarian they enjoy their food.“
“First time dining here since the ownership changed and I'll definitely be back. Restaurant is spacious, comfortable and clean. We came Friday for lunch and tried their lunch specials which come with soup. I tried the Orange Shrimp (pictured), Sushi Platter and Beef with Mixed Vegetables. Both the sushi and Chinese dishes were fresh and flavorful. I ordered the hot & sour soup with my platter which is one way I gauge the authenticity & quality of a Chinese restaurant and was pleasantly surprised. The soup and dishes we ordered reminded me of my parent's restaurant which they ran for over 30 years. There are very few restaurants serving quality Chinese dishes in the Northwest suburbs so come out and support this restaurant.“
“Good sushi rolls!! Been here a couple times & love it, doesn’t disappoint! We ordered & recommended the Miami Roll, Spicy Tuna Tempura, Caterpillar, the dumplings are good too! They also have burrito rolls, didn’t try them but they look good. Service was great as well. Very attentive. Place was very clean as well. & food tasted so fresh.“
“Cute little ramen spot with the see thru kitchen style. The spicy red miso ramen was delicious but quite thick as advertised. The gyoza was also delicious. The gentleman working offered a free appetizer to my friends and I which was very kind. Downside is no restrooms. Will be back to try more & eventually check out the actual restaurant.“
“Sushi Para is a fantastic surprise! From the outside, you might not expect much, especially being on a busy street like Dundee. But wow, once inside, the sushi is amazing. For just $16.99, you can eat all the sushi you want, and it’s all so fresh and delicious. I loved everything from the miso soup to the sushi rolls. Despite the simple look of the place, the food quality is top-notch because they keep everything super fresh. It’s a great deal for such tasty food. I gave them five stars and can’t wait to visit again with my family. Everyone should try SushiPara!“
“Really nice little place. Me and a friend came in and they sat us down right away. We got all you can eat sushi. We tried all of the sushi and every single one of them were delicious. The Crab Rangoon was the best I ever had and all of the other sides we had were amazing. We finished off with the mochi iced cream.Over all it was amazing and the only complaint was the service was a bit slow. I would definitely bring friends here again!“
“Fuji Thai is the best restaurant in the area! I worked here for 4 years when I was younger and Ive been back as a customer every time I’m in town for the past 5 years. I can say from first hand experience, everything is clean and sanitary. The staff was always great to work with. For a first job, I couldn’t have asked for more. And Mona and her family (owners) are amazing! The food is incredible. Almost everything on the menu is made fresh and from scratch. Favorites: Tom kha soup Panang curry Double shrimp lover“
“I've been to Japan twice. I won't waste your time. Give them your money. I've spent plenty of time eating sushi and being disappointed. This was not that. The soba was superb and the sushi brought me back to Osaka. The prices are fair for the quality. Enjoy!“
“Tokio Sake is a special place for our family. When we dine in person, we always find the staff attentive and friendly. You can also watch the sushi chefs meticulously preparing the sushi. They are prompt when we place take out orders. Most important of all, the caliber of the sushi is outstanding. We are a family of 6 and we all rate Tokio Sake sushi as the best in the area. Some of our favorites are Spicy Tuna Crunch and Alaska Roll. If you're looking for a great dining experience, this is the place for you!“
“An Unforgettable Sushi Experience at Bistro Wasabi! From the moment I stepped into Bistro Wasabi in Hoffman Estates, I knew I was in for a treat. This place has completely redefined sushi for me, and it's no exaggeration to say that it's the best sushi experience I've ever had!The quality of the food is simply outstanding. Each dish we tried was a masterpiece of flavors, perfectly balanced and beautifully presented. The sushi rolls are fresh, inventive, and delight the taste buds with every bite. It's clear that Bistro Wasabi uses only the highest quality ingredients, which makes each dish shine. The value is incredible, too. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the high-end quality of the food and the generous portion sizes. You get premium quality without the premium price tag, which is a rare find these days.Bistro Wasabi is also the perfect spot for a date night. The ambiance is intimate and cozy, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. It’s a place where you can relax, enjoy amazing food, and create wonderful memories.I can't stop raving about the unique dishes! Each one is a culinary adventure, offering a blend of traditional and modern flavors that will satisfy both sushi purists and adventurous foodies alike. In summary, Bistro Wasabi is a gem that stands out in Hoffman Estates for its exceptional sushi, great value, and delightful dining experience. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an extraordinary sushi meal. This is not just a meal; it's an experience that you'll want to relive time and time again!“
“Have had sushi here a couple times now with my family, and it’s always so good! Really attentive and friendly service, and the sushi is fresh and tasty. The owner is also the chef, so you can really tell the care he puts into the food. Some of the best sushi I’ve had in the area ??“
“Everything was great . New location is brighter than the old place. Sushi is so good for an AYCE restaurant. Have been going here for years and have never had a bad meal. I have ordered off the regular menu and that was also was very good. Their fried rice is delicious. I keep going back again and again,!“
“The food is incredible. I understand this restaurant has been in existence for a long time as well it should. The lobster was exquisite, the steak was tender and seasoned beautifully. The vegetables were great, the noodles very tasty, salad dressing very good. Soup was fine nothing out of the ordinary, and we had a great time“
“Food is always delicious and the service is great. Can get a bit crowded during prime dinner hours but there's always take out if you'd like to eat at homeParking: Plenty of spots to park including handicap near the doorWheelchair accessibility: The curb has been modified to allow wheelchair“
“Jay was an amazing server! He was on top of it and made sure we had the best experience! He had the best personally and made us feel very welcomed. Loved his service and would definitely come back! As well as great food! I try different dishes every time I come and they have been all delicious!Parking: A lot of space parking available“
“Haven't visited in quite a while, particularly for dinner. The current chef seems to be doing a respectable job with ingredient selection and traditional preparation techniques. I didn't think we'd ever find Tara no Kiku (cod milt) fresh in Mundelein, but they're doing it. They have a nice selection to dine izakaya style. It's pretty spendy though, being higher than other similar spots around.“
“Very tasty food. Had the steak and chicken combination and it was so freaking good. Our hibachi chef was amazing. The only thing keeping this from 5 stars is that a woman that looked to be the manager, was the one sitting guests. It was pretty busy considering it was Valentine’s Day but she payed no attention to reservations. Me and my girlfriend and 2 other couples had reservations and have been waiting for more than half an hour as she sat walk in guests that waited 3 minutes at most. This one couple had just walked in and put their name down, manager lady comes back and asks “2?” And then took them to sit at a hibachi table. I tried getting her attention but she didn’t care. I know it was busy but common, have some structure. What was the point in taking in reservations if you aren’t going to look at the list? Horrible manager/ host lady. Amazing servers/chiefs/atmosphere/food. So if you’re coming in on a busy day, make sure you come in extra early even if you have a reservation.“
“Wow this place is a gem! My husband and I came here last night and got the Godzilla roll, salmon sunset roll, and two different kinds of ramen. Everything was SO delicious and the sushi tasted incredibly fresh. The lady and gentleman that seemed to be running the place are the NICEST individuals. I wish I would’ve taken a picture of the food, but we ate it too fast. This place is almost 40 mins for us, but it’s definitely worth the drive, we agreed it would be our go to sushi spot from now on. See you again soon!“
