I don't think the server understood what I was saying. I requested for it NOT to be spicy. And it's definitely so spicy that I couldn't eat. It didn't complain about it because I didn't want to go back out. Just gave it to my son, who likes spicy food. I'll make sure the next time that I get a clearer understanding.

The food has always been just okay depending on what you get the American food not so much but the owner and its staff have a horrible attitude and unwilling to fix mistakes done by their staff even when admitting a mistake has been done. Five more min up the road there’s a better Mexican restaurant called cerro grande more authentic and better quality.

Surprisingly good! The portions are better than other places , the corn tortillas are probably specially made for the place, the steak is tasty. I came across this place because a couple of friends brought some huge burritos for lunch, one of them shared a sample and that sparked my curiosity. The menu is similar to many other places (nothing surprising), it is just the care to season things right, the portions, the quality... etc, that's what makes the difference. If those tortilla shells are home made... well, isn't it "home is where the heart is?" ??♂️??
First time in the Chicago area, and we're stopping at our kind of restaurant. Excellent Mexican fare. I tried the chorizo flautas and she had enchiladas. The guacamole is thick, plentiful and we'll spiced. The chorizo is good enough that I have to be careful not to come too often. Nice variety of sauces, and the rice has a strong, robust flavor.Seating is very comfortable and it's not too loud at early afternoon. Dinners are about 20 a head and worth the price. Parking is tight, and I suggest coming in from the north because of Burnham traffic. Absolutely worth a stop.Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options (beans as primary protein) so you do have choices and with their spices, they'll be tasty. I will try them personally next time.Parking: Parking is slightly tight in peak hours. Burnham has fast, heavy traffic so come from the north to enter with a right turn.Wheelchair accessibility: Entry and seating are fully accessible. Bathrooms (particularly men's due to ice chest position) are slightly tricky. However the restaurant is easy to navigate.
