Absolutely phenomenal ...I had many Gluten free bakery items from other places and this place is off the charts ...we started off with the carrot cake ...geez it could not have tasted any better if it had,had Flour in it ....The cream cheese, omg let me eat the whole tub of cream cheese batter......The pineapple upside down cake was also a hit.....and that chocolate chip brownie bar ..very dangerous ...had to eat the whole bar.........I haven't made it to the brioche bread and the cinnamon roll but I keep you posted ....5 Lia P

UPDATE2. I have rerated by review because of the fantastic customer service I received from owner concerning misunderstanding in how to prepare the baguette bread for consumption.I had also purchased their flourless chocolate cake; it was delicious.UPDATE: owner called and left message. Apparently you need to keep bread frozen and heat up in oven before use. I looked on label and this is explained so I would say I’m partly to blame, but it would have been nice to be informed of this when ordered/purchased since I never had it before.Bought their gluten free baguette. It was dry and crumbly; couldn’t even get a slice without it falling apart. It was very expensive and I would not buy again. Husband stated woman behind counter was not friendly and seemed bothered to have to wait on him. I tried to call store during business hours to voice my dissatisfaction about the bread but only received a voice message stating they were on a family vacation (this was stated as in August). I didn’t have any option to leave voice mail message.

Whenever I hear or see "Gluten Free" my initial reaction is "run away from the nasty diet stuff." But over Christmas, a client gave me a box of gluten free "Cake Pops" from a local shop that I had never patronized. When I brought the box home, my gratefulness overrode my initial reaction. I sampled a couple items. Each piece was decorated like a Christmas ornament. I was blown away by how awesome they tasted. Since my kids feel the same way I do about gluten free products, I ordered them to try one. It was unanimous. Outstanding. The box was emptied that day. I wish I had taken a picture of the products I ate. I do not know the cost since I did not purchase these items but I will be going to this shop in the future because I know everyone in the office will love what I bring and no one will be excluded due to an allergy.

This is the second time I’ve been in Lia P to pick up holiday goodies for my mom who has celiac. The owner was fantastic and even though I don’t need to eat GF, their cinnamon rolls and donuts are perfect for the whole group if you don’t want to buy separate desserts. Tried the donut for the first time today and I was so impressed. I’ll be back soon!

We ordered donuts and a cheesecake for a work party—AMAZING! The food tasted amazing and the service was above & beyond—including helping me out to my car b/c of my hands full w/ my kids. I’m not gluten free but will get my donuts from here from now on b/c they are so good!!

Not entirely sure what all the other reviews are talking about, but our experience with Lia P was incredible. Extremely friendly and can tell she takes pride in her work and what she has to offer at her bakery. 10/10 experience. THE PIE, absolutely phenomenal ? it was so yummy.

This review is way past due! I have been so busy but needed to take the time out to give Diane and her company the credit they deserve! They did our wedding cake, anniversary cake, birthday cakes, and my sons communion cake! Some of the feedback I have gotten are that, "it's the BEST cake they have ever had" and, "where was this cake purchased?!" The flavor and and the designs are on point! It's moist and delicious. The banana bread, brioche loaf, donuts, and brownies are also a favorite. I have Celiac Disease so I order my cakes from them and nobody can even tell. I will never go anywhere else. Thank you very much for always providing quality and professional services!

Do not waste your time and money here. Food was horrible, hard as a rock, the people behind the counter are ALWAYS so rude and in a bad mood. Every time someone mentions this store, I tell them to AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE!

This is for the awful gf brownies and cookies that some distributor is selling to all the Chicago cafes. I am guessing cafes buy it because it is shelf stable. But they might as well be selling hockey pucks. There are so many amazing gf bakeries now. There is no excuse for these sad, hard, tasteless items. Simply awful.
