Looooooooove this place & their food!!! Make sure you get the lady waitress because there's a gentleman that always has a bad attitude unfortunately ?‍♀️Kid-friendliness: There's specific kids noodle bowls

We went yesterday and I ordered 85(fried shrimp) by accident, instead of 81(Shrimp fried rice).Fried shrimp came with shell and head on, deveined. I couldn’t eat, so I ordered 81(Shrimp fried rice) as I was hungy.Fried rice, looked good and smell was great. I started eating with excitement and every bite of fried rice had crunchy things. At first, I thought they could be egg shells. After 3-4 bites, realized that they kept coming for every bite. I hated the feeling in my mount and started digging in rice to see what those are, found out the fried rice had so many white, tiny tubes like particles as attached in the pic. I Called waitress and showed, She touched and said, sorry, those are uncooked rice, I didn’t want to argue.I couldn’t eat rice with the uncomfortable crunch , so packed fried rice and fried shrimp home.We heated both dishes and tried to have them for dinner, and had the same crunch. If it was uncooked rice, it could have soaked, become soft by dinner, but had the same crunch. They looked like some calcium deposit tubes and had lot of them. I had to throw the whole fried rice.My husband tried to eat the left over fried shrimp, that dish had the same particles along with peppers, onions and garlic. He peeled shrimp, removed heads, deveined and ate some and threw the remaining. We ordered appetizers, egg rolls and crab rangoons, they were ok.Overall, I will never to this place again.

I usually don't write bad reviews if the food does not taste good, coz every one has different taste. I ordered fried shrimp by accident instead of shrimp fried rice. They brought whole shrimps deep fried with head and shell on, without deveined. I couldn't eat with shell. I placed one more order, shrimp fried rice. Every bite of fried rice had crunchy substances (like the feeling of chewing egg shell). For the first few bites, I thought egg shell, then I looked and there were smaller white tube like pieces all over the rice. I called waiter, showed and asked. She said sorry, those are uncooked rice. I ate little and packed the left over home. Tried to eat for dinner, same feeling. If it was rice, it could have soaked by dinner, but had the same crunch. I brought Shrimp home and gave it my husband. He found the same white crunchy tube like pieces. We ended up throwing both.

We live in the NW suburbs. This is my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in the area. The pho has a heady aroma and other dishes I've had there were excellent. To get as good, you have to go into Chicago, and even there, few are any better.

We were here in the location area for a visit and decided this was the closest pho spot for some pho and boy did we regret it. The pho was salty and noodles were just hard. Even the fried rice was salty. Great services but food just needs some updating.
