“My husband and I have been coming here for years. The owners, Chris and Nikki and the bartender, Monica are always welcoming and take good care of us. Nice atmosphere, good company, lots of tvs if you want to watch the game, great music playing in the background. The food is always very good and freshly made. Some of our favorites are the chicken kabobs, the Jerry's Special, and the burgers, which are excellent! Half price martinis on Wednesdays with a long list of options to choose from. We celebrated my husband's 50th birthday there and they were very accommodating and everyone had a great time!“

“Kinda in love with this place, hah. Came here just on a whim....hungry from a work event and it was closer to midnight. This place is open insanely late so we stopped on in. Terrific friendly staff, the food is amazing, vibes are amazing when you go in.Again, recently got home late from a work event and decided to Uber Eats from here.....also late at night....also still amazing. Highly recommend. Some of the best fried chicken around. Also had galbi, seafood pancake, kimchi fried rice with spam. Can't say it enough, highly recommend.“

“I like the atmosphere of the place. They had latin music. I did not try plates just one appetizer which was super good and Margaritas on the bar which was also great! Service was super nice, very atentive. I will come back for sure and update the review related to the food.Parking: Free paeking lot for a period of time (I believe it was 2 or 3 hours free parking)“

“The food is sooo good! Especially the wings! Everyone is so nice and personable! Update 2024: under new mgt. Food is excellent! Drinks too! I wish I could remember the young lady who took care of us but it's ok because everyone who we spoke to that worked there, were great! Also, the wings are still gargantuan y'all...and super tasty! Pork chops...amazing and tasty, nicely seasoned!“

“Great food and excellent service. It’s a local treasure and I would highly recommend stopping by. I don’t drink so I really can’t speak to that, but when I’ve come in the bar always looks busy and it seems like they usually have a good variety of drink specials. And don’t let the bar in the front fool you, there is plenty of seating in the back to enjoy a meal with your family. They also have seating outside in nicer weather. I love their cheese curds and I’ve had a variety of their different soups which were all good! I enjoy their wings, they might be a little too spicy for some with a sensitive palate. I love their chicken salad and I get it on their focaccia bun which is always fresh and delish. Burgers were good too. However I hate to say it because I love this place, but I don’t love their corn beef sandwich, they serve it open face and it’s sliced a little thick for my liking. I prefer the kind of corned beef you get from a Jewish deli, but to their credit the sandwich and ingredients tasted fresh, so I think it’s just a matter of preference. I’ve only been here about 5 times so I’m looking forward to trying more things from their menu. And I’d also like to mention I’ve ordered carry out from here twice and both times food was correct and packaged well. And if you’ve order out recently you’ll understand how much of a rarity that is. I think that partly has to do with the man who has taken my order both times, I’m not sure if he is the owner but he is great, he obviously knows the menu. Sometimes you order out and the person on the other end doesn’t even know what soup they have that day. Whoever runs this business clearly knows what they’re doing and how to cater to their customers.“

“We golf there once a week and it's a fine course for all levels. But these reviews should be about the restaurant, not the course.I give the restaurant 4 stars as a place for lunch or an occasional sandwich. I wouldn't hold a formal event there, such as a wedding, but an informal gathering, such as a business lunch or social club meeting would be suitable.The menu is based on a grill type offering and the food served is very good and plentiful.Hamburgers, cold turkey, chicken and tuna offerings are all good and fresh.The drinks are ample and priced competitively.“

“Went there for my 60th birthday and 3 days later for a blue cheese burger. Fantastic service and food. Only issue is they need to add some lower tables to bar area for people with disabilities that can't get onto bar stools. Will definitely be going back.Wheelchair accessibility: Hard to get through bar area with a walker because so many people are standing around visiting each other.“

“A friend and i were planning on going to Wildberry for brunch, but when we arrived, the wait time was 1.5hrs. I wasn’t interested in waiting that long so the hostess suggested we go next door to Westwood and try their brunch. It was an excellent decision.We ordered the foot long and egg & cheese which was DELICIOUS and exactly what my friend had a taste for. The tomato sauce was unreal. We also ordered the eggs your way dish which definitely hit the spot. The hash browns are essentially a casserole which was a lovely surprise. They were excellent.We also had a couple of bloody marys which my friend ordered a second because she enjoyed hers so much.Definitely a little gem this place appeared to be.Thank you to Samya for the friendly service.“

“Had St Patrick's dinner at Morgan's tonight. Food was excellent ! The corned beef was cooked just right. The atmosphere is cheery and friendly. It felt like a neighborhood "cheers" bar with great bar food and service. We definitely will be frequenting it more often.“

“I didn't eat any food so I gave 3 stats, I was there for the slots! This place is nice, great selection of games to play, AC is on SUPER COLD! Blows right on you so wear your thin coat! Only thing I didn't like was some lady wanted to use the machine I was on but when I was done she never asked me was I done. She walked to her punk husband and said "he's just sitting there and I wanna play!" Now I heard her but she decided to go to another guy who worked there and said she wanted to play where I was. Now 2/6 are in use, one im sitting at and just took my phone out. Next thing I know the husband is asking me from the bar am I playing? I was like naw just finished, like 10 sec later the worker guy walks up and says hey you can't sit here the lady wants to play here! I was like ok I know I heard her tell her husband '15ft away from me, and her husband told me as well, now I've got you telling me all within the last 40 secs... I get it. Funny the woman nvr said or asked me herself but she sends you guys like your some type of bouncer! She can ask herself right? The guy says 'well that happens sometimes', I said well don't act on it and next time ask if they asked the person first! We all grown adults here. I moved, she bumps me like I wasn't there, passes by me 2 more times hitting me with her purse and I like cmon! I know you see me here, you can feel yer purse being held up by something right?! That lady was scared of a 130 guy that looks like he still early 20's besides that it was fine! I was winning!“

“First time random choice visiting the area from Chicago. Obviously very popular (the best sign) with the locals and the food (and price) was great! So was service from busser to server to manager who checked in with us. Perfect casual spot!“

“A bit disappointing. Went to the new location, across the street from the old. At the new location, the burgers were good, but not great like the old place. Something changed - they are now double stack - but just didn't have something which made the old ones great. The place was pretty empty - it was Sunday night - but the TVs were extra loud. More than a bit distracting. Also, I "upgraded" to the loaded tots for $3 and the server brought them out separate and charged $9 as a (small) appetizer. Probably just a communication issue. Lesson learned. Can no longer highly recommend this place.“

“Basic looking dive bar in Libertyville that brings in mostly those that live around it. Downing's isn't a high class place. If looking for anything fancier, stay away and up the street to the hipper restaurants. Has basic beer on tap, and some crafts in bottles and cans. The prices are pretty good on these. A place that's called an Irish pub, but it's really just a regular old bar. It doesn't actually have that much Irish about it except the Guinness. They do have festivities around St. Patrick's Day though. Good beer. It's about $5 a pint. The bigger named corporate brands are on tap. May or may not have food. Seems like it depends on if they feel like making anything I guess. Of course, really not sure if you would want to even eat anything. The place isn't filthy but it's kind of scuzzy. Cheap prices are the best things about it. It's pretty boring in the afternoon, and gets livelier at night. They're open pretty late until 3 usually, so this is one of the few places that are still open late, so they get crowded the later it gets from people coming from other bars or wherever.“

“Great customer service from host to the wait staff we were greeted very politely at the entrance by two younger ladies. Seated very quickly on a mildly busy night. Our waiter had some great drink recommendations which we went with and enjoyed. All of the food came out hot and accurate to our liking. As the night progressed we usually don’t stick around restaurants for desert but since the night was going so well we decided we had to try the bread pudding. We did not regret our decision. Overall great meal 10/10 would come again. Special thank you to Mia and Andrew who helped make the visit extra memorable.“

“Onion rings were/are amazing here!! I enjoyed them very much. I think on their menu needs to be updated / or staff educated to inform guest on whether the price is for the "half" or the "full" portion of side via the menu.. other than that... the service /management was nice about the mix up, the ladies are beautiful here, the people are nice... no bad or aggressive vibes... “The squirrel and his wife went there for lunch. The dining room wasn't open sat in a bar area. The bar is a bar suitable for evening snacks and bar food. seating is very limited they don't take reservations The food was good, not great, but good for the price.“

“A wonderfully good surprise! I met my family there for one of our sons best friends. I arrived late and the gluten free meal that was especially made for me had been eaten. I was ok with it. However one of the two hosts Jennifer told the staff and within 15 minutes I received an amazing piece of grilled chicken, veggies and really good pasta and super tasty sauce. The others who had non gluten free food were raving about how fresh it all tasted.The space is very large and it’s perfect for parties and celebrations. Really friendly staff as well. Oh yeah the pizza couldn’t stay on the table. It was that good I hear.“

“Wow. I absolutely love TJ O'Brien's. I went there on a Wednesday afternoon for a quick drink before my dinner date. Service was very fast and the bartender was nice. I always appreciate a bartender that's willing to have a genuine conversation and crack a few jokes (shout out Jaclyn!). Other bar patrons were friendly and made it feel like a home away from home. I can't recommend this spot enough if you're looking for a drink in downtown palatine!“
