I LOVED Lucanos old pizza. This was the first time I've been there since the ownership changed...and I'm unfortunately not a fan. The pizza used to have a cracker thin crust, a complimentary sauce and had a ton of sausage on it. Tonight's pie (1/2 cheese, 1/2 Sausage) had exactly 14 pieces of sausage on it and the crust seemed like it was pre-made (and very thick) So unfortunate to lose such a good pizza to this. Lucanos is now like every other pizza in the western burbs.

Pizza has changed will not go back. Sauce no taste. Low quality cheese. Crust is a pre-made. Sort of reminds me of a frozen crust..I used to get the broasted chicken. Burgers. Baked pasta with meat sauce. Also there Italian sausage was very good. Baffles me new owners bought a name and try to fool us with subpar food. Used to eats here since 2015. Also I loved the wings back then.

Owner seemed friendly. Unfortunately they changed the pizza, it was terrible. Sauce is different like it was spaghetti sauce, cheese blend is different and the green peppers were cut so large, it never cooked on the pizza...like eating raw green peppers in a salad. Garlic bread looked like a Turano roll drenched in some sort of oil, it went in the garbage too. We won't be going again, and threw out the pizza.

Umm, pizza definitely tastes different from when I last had it. Ordered a thin crust with pepperoni. Sauce and pepperoni tasted completely flavorless. House Garden Salad was completely different too. Kind of a big step down in quality.

I used to love this place. It was originally Barraco's Pizza which was amazing and then they changed to Luciano's and then they changed owners again. It's April 2022 currently..... They recently changed their sauce to a very thick sweet sauce and it's all I can taste now. Seems so spaghetti Prego like.... it's like every other pizza place in the world. It used to be a thin delicate tomato sauce. It's actually so overwhelming I don't think I can ever order this again. It pains me to say that because these are nice people and I've ordered for years. Even with the spaghetti Prego sauce it's still a quality Pizza so I gave it two stars. I could not eat this tonight. That's the second time. What a shame. They are just like everyone else now. Super nice people answering phone. Fabulous manager. But the bigs have made their changes . Good luck. It won't take long for people to stop paying top dollar for thick spaghetti sauce because this is not a cheap pizza place.

This is one of my favorite pizza places. I love their thin crust. So flavorful.One time I went to pick up a pizza I ordered. They told me the pizza was burnt. They offered me a discount if I could wait for the pizza to be remade. So of course I waited. ?

First off, my buddy and I stumbled across this pizza joint by accident. To say the least we were pleasantly surprised. Great za. Good crunch, good pep (herby), sweet sauce. All the makings for a solid pizza experience. As a collective score we gave it a 7.55, which is a fair and honest decision. Will definitely come back a second time. We finished the pizza cold this morning, fantastic choice.

This little neighborhood gem surprised me! Around the corner from home, the satisfied my pizza craving! I'm so happy I found them and the prepared my sausage and pepperoni thin crust pizza with ricotta cheese and spinach to perfection. They have thin crust and deep dish and a multitude of other Italian staples, pasta, sandwiches etc. If they are as good as the pizza you'll be happy. Delivery was quick and the pizza was hot! Check them out!

Like many others have commented the pizza has changed and unfortunately not for good. Ownership switched and it shows - and it has nothing to do with the coupons. We have been eating this pizza for nearly 10 years and it's not the same. For some who may be new customers, you may love it, but you should have had it before.

Very disappointed with my latest pizza from here. I normally love Lucano’s and always get a thin crust pepperoni. Excellent thickness, pepperoni under the cheese, perfect amount of sauce and cheese. But tonight my pizza was just so bland. Crust was too thick, pepperoni on top of the cheese, and it just tasted different. Not good at all. Might try once more in the future but if this is what they keep churning out of their ovens then they will have lost my business for good.
Solid pizza choice. Fresh ingredients. They used to be a barraco's which is fantastic Pizza. It's basically the same thing. Except I like barraco sausage more and I wish these places would make smaller sausage bites. I want a piece of pizza not a sausage sandwich. But besides that it's absolutely fantastic. I'm grateful they are here in Lisle.

I ordered thin crust pizzas from here and had them delivered and they were very good. Lived by this place a long time I shoulda ordered from here years ago. I will definitely be a new customer. The negative reviews scared me at first but they must be from disgruntled ex employees.

This is not the same pizza! Same restaurant name, but pizza is a completely different. Crust is different. Sauce is bland. Cheese is too thick. Ingredients are different. Even the way they cut it is different. If owners changed and recipe has changed, the restaurant name should change. It is very deceiving and very disappointing for long time customers. We have been ordering Lucano's for 12+ years! This is not our kind of pizza or what we expected - others may like it, but just not our taste. Another pizza place in our rotation bites the dust :( I urge the new owners to rebrand!

Been ordering from Luciano’s for about three years. Recently the pizza has been way different. Thick crust, no flavor, really thick cheese. Not the same Luciano’s I’ve had for years. Will be looking for a new place if they don’t change this back!

How the Mighty Have Fallen... For the last 8 years I have ordered from Lucanos and bragged that this was our best pizza in Lisle. It was originally flavor city, cooked to perfection, and had delicious ingredients across the board. A few weeks back we ordered a spicy beef pizza and a white pizza for a small party. After biting into the pizza, I felt something was very off - little to no flavor. Perhaps the white pizza would be better? No it was just as bad, as if the cook forgot to season the sauce or bread. My first thought was that they had a bad night and hopefully nothing else serious has changed over there. Today would be that "other try" and unfortunately it only has become worse. The sausage and garlic pizza wasn't cut, the cooks forgot the other topping, and their sauce continues to remain flavorless. Truly this was the bland leading the bland now and Lucanos used to be flavor city for Lisle. This is so disappointing, I have ordered at least over 100 pizza's since moving to Lisle in 2012. I constantly recommended their pizza to family, friends, and even our office. At this point unless they drastically change their quality of ingredients, flavor, sauce, bread or more there is no way to recover.
