A local bar, one owner, and I just like stepping back in time when I go there, no rush, local people, small conversation. I love supporting local places! No food, but he has take out menus there, he has bags of snacks hanging, nuts, chips, beef jerky.

A true dive bar, but not the hard core Chicago kind. The pizza is low key frozen and thrown in a grill but it works for the customers who are bias towards blue collar / conservative mix but even of you’re not that and up to watch people it’s definitely interesting.

Like another reviewer, we were also denied service by the elderly male bartender for absolutely no reason (3 of us in our mid 30s on a Sunday evening). I used to occasionally come here more than a decade ago when his son was the bartender with no issues. This man however told us he "does not want people like us there" and "don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out" among other things I do not wish to post. Absolutely unacceptable treatment. We ended up going up the street to Nel's instead where it is more welcoming.
