If we're going to do hunks of potato, I personally prefer a small to medium dice, but hash browns are my top. Skillets are a staple and will be what brings people in over and over so that they can have the filling savory meal while they share your delicious waffles. “What a cool little local take on where the ihop used to be. I love that! The food was what you would expect, and well executed. My only gripe is that the coffee actually seemed good and no one could tell me what it was or who the roaster was. It's a great opportunity to activate another local brand, but more importantly I believe that a breakfast or brunch spot will live and die by their coffee. There was a few other points during the visit that seemed like 'a lack of attention to detail', and it didnt seem very clean inside, so the coffee thing was just what stood out in the end. I wouldn't mind coming back but probably won't be my first choice.Kid-friendliness: Great waffles for kids!“
“Absolutely delicious desserts. Anything you get is super sweet and filling. Loved the ice cream and the little waffles dish. They are also very efficient in making everything fast. The only downside is, seating is not comfortable. Inside the store there are only benches and outside is a limited seating during a limited time of the year. So being an ice cream place, you would think they will make it inviting for their customers to enjoy their ice cream before it melts. Other than that inconvenience, I would say this is a very nice dessert place.“
“I had recently post a review of what I seen at the restaurant and felt yelling at a waitress in front of customers was not something I wanted to support by eating at this restaurant it's just my opinion but then to find out she was let go we decided we're not going back to support this restaurant ! UPDATE 12/3/23 we returned to My Waffle restaurant after not eating here in 1 month our waitress was back we didn't ask how or why I'm just glad things worked out I do hope the Owner reads his reviews because some customers really care thats important so to everyone working at this restaurant the food is always good we're satisfied but as for what ever happened I'm glad adults figured out the issue we will be back.“
“Great local breakfast and lunch restaurant. The Matty's coffee cups can be seen at many of my neighbors homes . Portions are large and the you will need a to go box. My omelette came with hash browns and a side of French toast which they have many specialty versions of. My wife's Rueben was good with too many fries to eat...so I helped. My sister-in-law had Marty's Mountain which is like 5 breakfasts in one! Typical diner ambiance with an attentive wait staff and fast kitchen. Enjoy! We sure did!“
“Service was good. I really like their coffee bar menu. That isn’t something you find typically in sit down breakfast spots. I had the cheddar grits and fried green tomatoes. I’m not a vegetarian, but they do have a decent choice of meatless options as well. Refommended.“
“Omg I ordered the Jerk Chicken pasta and Shrimp dinner with macaroni and cheese, and sweet potatoes. Don’t judge me I’m a legit foodie and Chef. My mother ordered the Catfish Steak dinner with green beans, and macaroni and cheese. For dessert we both had the peach cobbler, and i also had a banana pudding. When I say the Jerk pasta was amazing so spicy and creamy. It was the perfect sauce to noodle ratio. The Chef put so much love in that dish. The pasta was so good I couldn’t stop eating the pasta and didn’t even eat the chicken on top. My mother said the fish was the best she had in a long time. She said the fish was fresh , and as well as the Shrimp. The dessert was amazing. Is somebodies Big Ma in the kitchen cooking? The food was worth every penny and I will be back the best $80 I ever spent on food, drinks, and dessert. Five stars I would give 6 if I could. As a chef and caterer your business was on point with flavors, and presentation, and technique. I love to support my fellow black businesses.
