I am being generous because they are new. Ordered 2 drinks and 1 domestic beer. It was $25. That's outrageous!this isn't the city. I know that have entertainment but so do a lot of other bars. Might wanna reconsider the price gouging

Didn't eat here as most of the food is smoked. Would have if there was a slightly larger menu offering a few non-smoked items. Prices for drinks were reasonable given that it is in a music venue. Bartenders were very friendly. Fun and comfortable atmosphere. Tables for 4 had ample room. The only thing I would hope is that they upgrade chairs. Metal chairs with no backs is fine for an hour or so ... but having gotten there early, seeing the opening band and then the main band - everyone was complaining about how uncomfortable they were. Good variety of bands offered each weekend. Will definitely return.

First time here under the new ownership. Was seeing a band later in the evening so my friends and I had dinner to try the new menu. I got the beef brisket sandwich. The sandwich was cold and had no taste of a smoked brisket. Fries were warm, almost cold when I got my food. Unfortunately, this would be my first and only time eating here. Also, it was very cold in the dining area.

The chefs who took over the space have an awesome food menu. I had the trio of al pastor tacos and a side of elote - both were so flavorful, and the food came out super quick. In under 10 minutes. The tacos were $12 for 3, which honestly, it'd be hard to find tacos that are as tasty at that price. Also had a slice of their homemade peanut butter and jelly pie. Wow. Rich, I'd recommend sharing between two people, but tasted great and was a little nostalgic. Highly recommend stopping in for a quick bite and ordering for take-out.

I loved the place when it was Brauer house. Decided to try Humo Smokehouse for the first time today. The bands are one of the main reason that people comes to this spot. I am happy to see that continues with new owner. The walls are bare naked, they need to add some art or something.¡The Nachos with brisket are delicious! A little heavy on the mayo. Next time I'll ask them not to include it but the chips super fresh and crispy and the meat delicious! Yep! I definitely want to try other things from the menu.Waitress did not bring any plates or utensils, I had to get up and grab some from the side table. They don't have a drink menu or specials yet but they just recently opened. I will definitely come back and try the birria and wings next.

The restaurant was cold, had to keep my coat on. Ordered the brisket sandwich.. it was dry, tough and not very flavorable. I was disappointed with that food. Can't recommend this place for anyone.

This is $7 worth of fries? All the sides are small for the price, but this is wild c'mon guys you can do better. Including the container I got 6.8 ounces of fries.

The brisket was tasty and smokey.... need a few selections of bbq sauce. Anothe suggestion, would be to have a new sign outside so it would be easy to spot. Service was good! Good Luck for Humo Smokehouse!

I'm giving the place 3 stars because the servers were all great. However, several other things fell flat for me. First of all, I looked at the menu online before arriving, and was looking forward to trying the ceviche. When I was seated and given the menu, it was much smaller than the one online. No ceviche. Disappointing. So I ordered the tacos (one of each) and they were ok. Not very impressive but not bad. The price was right, at least ($12 for 3 tacos). The beer menu was also disappointing. The only thing close to craft beer on the menu is Revolution Anti - Hero and Rogue Batsquatch. From what I saw, the liquor menu wasn't very impressive either. After eating dinner and having some beers, I went to the back venue area for some live music. The three men they had working the door were not very organized or professional. Apparently they don't like people going back and forth between the music venue and the restaurant/bar area. When I walked through the door the first time, I told them I was in one of the bands performing that night, and they let me through. An hour later, when I went to walk through the door from the music venue area back to the restaurant area, they stopped me and told me I couldn't go through. When I asked why, they seemed confused. Then they all had a conversation and came back at me with "why do you want to go through there?" I said I wanted to go to my car. Then they told me I could go through now, but I couldn't come back through that way. Then they told me to move my car to the other side of the building "because that's the door I have to leave through anyway." It was a strange experience. Also, they have even less beer choices in the music venue than they do in the restaurant area. There's no beer on tap and they only had a few cans of Anti - Hero in the cooler, which they ran out of within a couple hours. Lastly, I think it's super crappy that none of the bands received any type of discount on food or drinks, or even one free drink. Not sure I would recommend this place to anyone, but the severs were all very nice and attentive. The place is under new ownership so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that things will improve as time goes on. A generous three stars based on service and newness.

Much cleaner than before! Service was great! I ordered the birria, super disappointed over half was inedible fat, no cheese even though traditional birria comes with cheese. Very bland. Coleslaw was delicious though!

Food is better than before. Menu is priced right for the phenomenal choices of meats. Best in Chicago! El Pastor ribs, brisket, birria. Live music is awesome as always! ? ? best place in the area and they kept all my favorite staff: Anna, Liz, KO, Christina... You must check this place out!
