Truly upset! I drove into town 4 hours away and made reservations as I wanted to try this place because I heard it was a good restaurant to eat at. I wanted my children to experience this place. I placed a reservation online and began to head that way, I called to confirm reservations online and got no answer so I assumed they were busy only to find out upon arrival they were completely closed with not a light on in sight. My family and I had to settle for McDonald's smh but I couldn't understand why the sight allowed us to book a reservation knowing they'd be close

First time visiting this restaurant. It wasn't busy but it was also during COVID time. A ton of food to choose from and everything was great. The seafood was perfectly cooked and good quality. Glad we stopped and will be returning

Food was excellent. Wish the server was more familiar with the menu but, she was training. Everyone has to start somewhere.Every little thing on the menu was a la cart. You order 40 bucks worth of seafood, you have to pay 5 bucks for 5 little balls of hush puppies that are literally the size of a quarter. You want half cup of rice, that'll be another 5.In my opinion, that should come with the meal. They didn't even offer us a glass of water.I don't think this establishment gets it. The customer is getting nickel and dimed over items that cost pennies to make. I'd rather go to Red Lobster knowing that I'm guaranteed a nice side salad and some biscuits. It's a little thing in marketing called "Preceived Value."It's a shame. This place isn't going to make it. Their food is great but we left hungry and feeling ripped off.Our bill was 105.00 for two adults and one child before the tip.

Do NOT eat from this place it is ran by Asians and the food is disgusting. Seafood bags are boiled and sauce is added it was the worst seafood shake I have ever seen in my and then they let a new person ring me out and charged my card twice. I will NEVER go back

If this were out first boil the rating would have been higher. We both had high expectations, amd were a little disappointed. The server was very nice and did a good job. The shrimp was over cooked, and corn cold. Sausage had good flavor and the potatoes were good. Not a bad price and portion was enough.

Decided to partake in a meal after someone posted on FB that they had a pleasant experience and thought that I would have the same experience. Boi was I wrong, crab legs were over cooked and shells were saggy Potatoes had no flavor and the only thing worth enjoying was the mussels, chicken strips and calamari bites. Highly disappointed

Mediocre food at best. Wouldn't waste your time or money here. I have never reviewed a restaurant with a 1 star rating.

Made online reservation for my work team at 7:15 pm on a Tuesday. When we got there the building was dark. No employees and no window signs stating why they are closed. Tried to call the number listed here on yelp and it goes unanswered. I don't think they are open any more at this location.

I really like the owners. Their raw oysters are fantastic. Get the Vietnamese iced coffee to end your meal - fantastic!

Great food. The fried catfish/shrimp combo with fries was excellent - served hot and a generous serving. The fried soft shell crabs came with two crabs and excellent hush puppies. fries, or slaw. The gumbo was very good - I had the optional okra and sausage added. Moderately spiced. The furnishings are well-worn and basic, but to be expected for a crab shack. Definitely will return for the excellent food and generous servings that are moderately priced.

A bit plain on decor, went there for father's day . Group of 5. Food was awesome, I was impressed as they allow you to pick the heat level you want. Appetizers were great . Wife had crab legs I had fried catfish and shrimp dinner everyone had a great experience . We will be going there again . BTW the wait staff was extremely helpful for us being first timers there . She had a clear knowledge of the menu ,which was also impressive. As a retired Chef I'm not easily impressed .

Was hopeful this place would be great but unfortunately it was the opposite of what we expected the waitress was really nice but they took an hr to bring our food out just the fries n shrimp basket and another 30 min to bring us our bag of boil crab legs and shrimp literally taste like tap water with garlic pc just thrown in the bag no flavor of nothing but tap water we just asked for our money back and the manager was just dodging us,then bathrooms where disgusting af they where just extremely dirty idk how they don’t have someone checking bathrooms I don’t know wat I was thinking giving this place a chance wouldn’t recommend

My husband had a hankering for crab legs so we stopped at the crab shack. Oh boy...I thought being a new restaurant in this building it would be nice. It's run down, bathroom smells, and the mirrors behind the bar are filthy. With that being said sometimes you get the best food in these types of establishments. Not so much here. My husband ordered the crab leg/shrimp boil. No matter how hard he tried that crab wasn't coming out and when it did it was stringy and rubbery. He did say the potato was good-that was a $35.00 potato!! I'm allergic to seafood so they accommodated my by frying my chicken po boy in the non seafood oil. It literally had no taste. The service was good but that's about it. I know it hasn't been open that long so maybe there is hope!!

I can't speak to the food because we never got that far. I really hope they do something because I worry the business will never last otherwise, and we were excited to try the food. We went at 6:30 on a Saturday, and it was eerily quiet and Uncomfortable. I wish there were tvs on or music or some type of background noise. We waited at front for several minutes to be seated without seeing any workers at all, then our server wasn't knowledgeable at all about the menu. They didn't have iced tea for me or milk for my son, he said there wasn't a kid menu (which we later saw there was), and he asked my mom if she wanted Louisiana sangria or regular sangria when she ordered sangria. She asked what the difference was and he said "I really don't know" with no offer to find out. Pretty odd. He dropped off the soft drinks and said he'd be right back with the sangria and to take our order. After about 10 minutes we left money for the drinks and left. The food may be great, but until the atmosphere is better and service is better, I worry for the future of this restaurant.
