I was called on Monday to come in on Wednesday for a job interview. The GM basically lied, telling me they had already hired two hosts and didn't understand why the manager would ask me to come in that day for an interview.

On Valentine's Day (over a month ago), we ordered sushi for pick up. We picked up our order and we were on the way home when Ra called and let us know they gave us the wrong order. We turned around and went to pick up our order and return the incorrect order. After getting back home we realized we realized we were missing three rolls, but didn't feel like going back out to get them. We sent an email explaining what happened. After receiving the wrong order, then missing rolls it became aggravating and now we're out $60 in sushi. I have sent three emails and haven't received a response. This is very unfortunate as we frequently dine in at Ra, but after being screwed out of $60 in sushi and multiple attempts to contact the store, no effort has been made to contact us back. Unfortunately due to lack of customer service, we will take our business elsewhere going forward.

I recently had the misfortune of dining at RA Sushi Bar Restaurant in Lombard, IL, and it was a complete disappointment. The restaurant's name is misleading, as it suggests a focus on sushi, but the menu is actually a hodgepodge of unrelated dishes.The sushi rolls were lackluster and poorly executed, with bland flavors and unimpressive presentation. The spicy tuna roll was overpowered by a sickly sweet sauce, while the salmon sashimi was served with a flavorless ponzu sauce. The tempura was greasy and tasted more like fried batter than seafood.The kitchen's attempt at creativity fell flat, with mismatched ingredients and unbalanced flavors. The "signature" rolls were a jumbled mess of flavors and textures, with no clear concept or direction. Even the basic edamame was overcooked and tasted more like stale soybeans than fresh, tender pods.The service was also subpar, with long wait times and unfriendly servers. Our server seemed put off by our requests for simple things like soy sauce and wasabi, and failed to check in on us for long stretches of time. The staff seemed more interested in chatting with each other than attending to the needs of their customers.The prices at RA Sushi Bar Restaurant are also exorbitant, with most entree-sized dishes hovering around the $20 mark. For the quality and quantity of food served, this is simply unacceptable.Overall, I would strongly advise against dining at RA Sushi Bar Restaurant. The high prices, poor quality of food, and subpar service make it a waste of time and money. I was DECEIVED!!! I received an email stating that I'm getting a $20 off my meal since it's my birthday. Host greeted me and took a photo of my Mom and I dining. At the end of the meal, I got the check. My coupon was scanned, then was told it's only good Mondays to Thursdays. It's a Sunday. If it was on the email, I would have reserved the certificate on the days the certificate is valid. The thing is nothing was on the email mentioning the limitations. The server was slow. Forgot our rice and only came back when we were already done dining. Will NEVER go back! Lombard, IL.

w Three of us walked in without a reservation and were seated at a high top near the door. There was a good crowd and most tables were filled. We ordered our drinks and an appetizer to start. Those came out quickly but the three sushi rolls took 30+ minutes and when we ordered three more, we had to wait another 30 minutes. The rolls were great but because of the understaffing, we felt disappointed in the evening.

We had the same waitress the last 2 times we went. She was very inattentive. Someone else brought our food out and she came by 15 minutes later, after our food was eaten already and asked if our food ever came out because she was “watching for it”. We had to ask 3 times for more water. She left after half of our party ordered because someone was taking an extra few moments to decide what they wanted, so our food came out in waves.
