I was recommended by coworkers to try out Nunzio's, so I did. We've been here three weekends in a row. I'm not from Rockford, but I'll tell you it's one of the best original Italian restaurants here. With a packed house, I was impressed how our waitress made sure she kept us serviced very well and right on time. New to the neighborhood, we wanted to find our new pasta place. Based on the great reviews, we tried Nunzios. I took my first bite of stuffed shrimp pasta and it was dry with no flavor at all. I had to add lemon, garlic salt and even olive oil for it to be edible. The shrimp and its seasonings were delicious, though! If only the whole dish were seasoned as well.My friend got the meat tortilini. The pasta was mushy, the meat he said tasted like Alpo dog food and the sauce, like Chef Boyardee. I tried it and agreed.I'm a person who likes to give credit where credit is due and I rarely leave bad reviews. It has to be awful for me to do so and I'm sorry to say, this experience was.

We were sat next to a big birthday group and due yo this we couldn't hear each other talk. Killed our evening.Food was great reheated as well the next day. Our server was wonderful!!!

Pizza was good, ordered carry out bill was 15.17 I gave the girl a 20 dollar bill and she asked me if I needed the change?, I guess she figured she deserved almost a 25% tip for handing me a box.

Got served the wrong cut of steak, then was told I was wrong. I definitely can tell the difference between a New York strip and a ribeye. Offered nothing to make it right. My dad got a filet mignon and it /my steak were low quality cuts of meat with lots of extremely tough gristle. My mom ordered meatless pasta and it came with meat sauce. Pretty abysmal birthday dinner for my dad.
One of the best restaurants in the Rockford area. Friendly staff. Generous portions of food. What everyone else said about the Steak Sinatra.. on point! You definately need to have this in your life.

I have always had excellent service at Nunzio's. The waitresses are very kind and polite the food is highly recommended. Their pizza is the best in Rockford as far as I am concerned. There are prime rib is excellent also.

Always very good food. Doesn't matter if we get pizza or if we get pasta dinners. You just can't go wrong with anything here. I enjoy going here to eat because it's always quiet and the service is amazing. My husband likes to get takeout mostly though and it's just as good. They are always friendly when he goes to pick up and he says if Nunzio is there he always says hi. That's a great way to greet customers I believe. We will keep getting takeout, but I am hoping to be able to go eat there.
