The fried pickles were AMAZING. Service was friendly and timely. Quiet atmosphere the night we were in. The brisket was soft, the pulled pork just right (although not seasoned much), and the ribs were delish! We were not impressed with their choice of BBQ sauces on the table, but maybe that's just our taste preferences. They were more tangy, sour, and vinegar tasting than we like. May need to smuggle our own in next time!We went on a Saturday evening and it wasn't dreadful busy like some other restaurants appeared, so that was nice, no wait time.

First night back in town for at least 3 years and I wanted the ribs, but I was greatly disappointed when told they were out of ribs, on a slow Tuesday night too. Ribs built this place - WTH people? Bartender was great and honestly his attentiveness was the only reason my group stayed. Food we did eat was acceptable but the menu seems to be much less than what I remember.

This place went from one of my favorite BBQ joints to the worst in one visit. They charge $19 for a half rack of Babby Back Ribs but give you St. Louis ribs. The cheese sausage for $13 was 1 brat like size link and cheese looked like someone vomited in a bowl.... sausage was way over cooked and dried out... ribs were like leather.

Was there June 23rd for dinner and it seemed like they were short staffed, shocking right? Food took roughly 35-40 minutes and there were four of us. 3 out of the 4 of us were served food that should not have left the kitchen. Full slab of ribs was tough and cold, pulled chicken was cold, and a baked potato that was rock hard which had probably been warmed over a few times that day. Our waitress didn’t seem too surprised but she was really busy and summoned the manager. He came over and talked to us for a few minutes. Apologized profusely and offered to replace the orders. We declined because at that point we were just ready to leave. The manager did take 30% off of our bill which was very nice of him but we’re now a bit hesitant to come back when we visit Marion next time. It’s gone down hill since Mike(Founder and former owner) passed away. I’ll be back in about month and will be bringing some friends to try it. Hopefully the food and experience is better.

Service from the time we walked in until the time we left was outstanding. The fried pickles were huge and delicious. My wife had the 1/2 chicken with collard greens and green beans and was very happy. I had the pork shoulder, smoked turkey, beef sausage, and mac & cheese and they were all outstanding. All of the sauces were great too. Will definitely have to try the ribs and banana pudding next time we're in Marion

Chose this place on recommendation of hotel staff next door. We had ribs which were out of this world. They had great flavor and didn’t need any sauce. The service was excellent and very attentive. I wish we had a cooler to take a few racks back home. Can’t go wrong eating here.

Worst BBQ in town. The original Murphysboro location is a lot better but avoid the marion store. I shoud have known better when the employee that answered the phone didn't know what okra was and suggested pickles. Waited for over 20 minutes after the original 30 min wait they told me. I personally witnessed the 4+ employees standing around orders bagging and then rebagging several orders they had packaged wrong. The whole show was obviously chaotic and unorganized and to top off the experience my order was messed up. Onion straws and onion rings are two different items and was sold a basket of onion straws in place of my onion rings. WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME. Visit KB'S or triple E when needing BBQ in or around marion. 50$+ order was in pic.

Excellent! The brisket sandwich was delicious!! If there was any fat, it was undetectable! Coleslaw is vinegar- based. So very yummy! Dalton was our server and he was fantastic! Traveling through from Denver to North GA and saw this bbq place on Google Maps. :-)

MY HAL RACK OF RIBS WERE OVERDONE AND VERY DRY. THEY WERE TOUGH AND OVERCOOKED. IT WAS IN THE AFTERNOON & THEY WERE NOT BUSY AT ALL, BUT THE WAITRESS DISAPPEARED AND SHE ONLY CAME BACK WOUT CAUSE SHE HAD ANOTHER SOME NEW CUSTOMERS.

Went with friends trusting the reviews. Ribs, brisket were good. Loaded bbq potato had little bbq on it. The pork steak was not good. Burnt, thin, and tough yet $16! No sides! Server was ready to make it right. Ordered the smoked chicken at 4:00pm, no chicken would be ready for six hours. Got the pulled pork. Flavorless, dry. Sad, sad.

All the sauces are wonderful but unfortunately the pork and the brisket needed it. The meet wasn’t very flavorful on its own but good portions. Good fries. The Coleslaw was oil based so not creamy. Reasonable beer prices. Great atmosphere.

Definitely need staff, did there best some attitude adjustment for the young lady with the head set would be appropriate. She was aggravated we didnt want a high top table. My other half has metal hips and its not comfortable being not flat on the floor. Food was good. Server we needed up with was

We stopped for dinner while traveling. Usually, bbq joints are fast on service. We were seated promptly and the place was relatively busy. Not too much of a wait for the server who was very friendly. Then we put in our order. And waited. And waited. After about 20 minutes the server said the kitchen had gotten behind with a large party. So, after about another 20 minutes people were being served who had been seated after us. We were finally able to locate the waiter and told him we would need to cancel our order if it wasn’t ready. After that our food suddenly came out of the kitchen. I think by now we had been there close to an hour. The manager did apologize and provided us a discount. Sandwiches are served without sides. The sandwich and sides are reasonable except the serving of baked beans is rather small. The pulled pork was a very large portion and tasty. Our biggest disappointment was the wait. I think it was more than having a large party. Again most bbq restaurants are set up to serve fast. We did appreciate management’s response.

A large local BBQ restaurant with absolutely excellent BBQ. Very nice interior with high back booths, a fire pit as you walk in, plus very clean and new looking. From some of the plaques I saw on the wall they've won many bbq awards from at least as far away as Memphis. Has a darkened sort of interior with individually lighted booths which had a very upscale look to it. Great Bbq!
