DON'T ORDER FOOD FROM HERE!!About 2 days ago me and my husband ordered for pickup on our way home because last time we ate in the food was good despite the horchata tasting like dish water, we pick up the 70 dollar order and make our way home. We had 2 burgers 2 fries 2 flan and 2 horchatas (gave it another chance) to our dismay the burger was over cooked and dry the fries were cheap and soggy, not that we expected them to be crispy, but they were mediocre like freezer fries, and the flans were old firm and tasted like freezer burn. We called up the restaurant to see if we can return the food and get our money back or some better food and the manager told us we should have ate inside the restaurant as if the food isn't supposed to taste good once you leave the establishment! ? He robbed us of our money and said he was the one who cooked our food, which is embarrassing and explains why we thought they were going out of business! The online menu is not up to date and the horchata still taste like dish water. WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY AND THE OWNER DOESN'T CARE WHICH LEADS ME TO BELIEVE THE KITCHEN MUST BE UNSANITARY AND THE FOOD MUST BE OLD.

Visiting my son and he suggested this “place for tacos”. Well it was way beyond tacos. This is a jewel of a place literally hidden in south suburban Chicago. The chef is adventurous and he goes way beyond traditional Mexican fare. We had an amazing mussels in chipotle sauce, that you will want extra bread for dipping. My son had a massive salmon burrito. He said the salmon was cooked to perfection. The chefs special was a four cheese ravioli with crawfish and a delicious sauce. Again, not your typical Mexican dish but terrific.The place was sadly deserted on a Tuesday night. I hope people check it out as it deserves love.

I came with my mom and she was skeptical but I urged her to give it a chance and we were both pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious and the service was friendly and efficient. I want to try more of their cuisine now. I ordered cheese enchiladas, no pics because I ate them too quick, lol. They were delicious ? no leftovers and no crumbs were left.

I enjoyed this place a lot actually. It is a secret gem in Matteson that is quite hidden but if you're familiar with the hibachi place then just look right next door! It is owned by a nice lady whom my parents had the pleasure of meeting on their first visit (I didn't make it). This time that I went she wasn't there, but still happy to support small local businesses! The waitress was really nice and attentive to us which is always appreciated!The food was all a hit. Everyone enjoyed their meal and there were 0 complaints. I had the seafood fondue which i made into tacos with my side of rice & beans. My dad wasn't full from his crepes so he ordered a queso dip afterwards. My mother enjoyed her carne asada & nopales. Overall good meal and the place itself gives old Mexican town vibes - I liked the ambiance.

Hubby and I were having our vehicle serviced and decided to try this new restaurant while we waited. We are so glad we did! We were welcomed in with a warm welcome and quickly seated. Our waitress told us about the specials and explained the menu in detail. The restaurant was very clean and welcoming and had a good ambiance. We chose the guacamole for an appetizer and it was fresh and delicious. The salsas were delicious, but spicy, so perfect for the spicy lovers! We also tried the salmon, one of the fan favorites and it was fresh and delicious as well! Thursday’s they have half off drinks so our beer and margaritas was perfectly priced! We definitely recommend this gem to all who love Mexican cuisine with a nice twist! Great job Fogon!

Once I seen the price of the drinks I just kept sipping on my water. My husband ordered a margarita pineapple flavor the drink looked nice but the price didn't match and that's not a compliment. It was $12 bucks and it wasn't even in a margarita glass.Our food presentation wise was gorgeous but lacking flavor. The salsa was fresh but lacking salt in my opinion but then again it was a very small portion for all the chips they give. I would go back to try something else on the menu but not anytime soon. Clean atmosphere nice workers but over priced and I don't mind spending money on food when it's good.

This is a hidden gem in the heart of Mattison Ill this is absolutely next level cuisine at very reasonable prices. Mrs Olga is a Great host making sure everything was tasting good and being our 1st time dining she told us her story! What a humble and professional owner. This was a great experience for myself and my wife. Definitely will return! I recommend the salmon Al Carbon cooked to perfection and taste was unmatched by anything near by! We’ll be back soon!
