Met family here for dinner while visiting in the area and had a great experience! All the food from salads to entrees to desserts was excellent ! Steaks were cooked to our preference and the sauce that comes with the pork chops had great flavor. River took great care of us and made it wonderful experience!

My family and I have been eating here, for many years. One of our favorites in Coles County! We are obsessed with their "bull bites!" I could eat them by the boat load. Their steaks and everything else are delicious. Our server, Kylia(spelling?) was fantastic she was so friendly. Their staff is always wonderful. My sister has autism and they were so nice to her wanting to meet everyone lol?

Made a reservation for my birthday,the atmosphere is wonderful and laid back,the food was cooked wonderfully,(I didn't even require steak sauce for the sirloin),it was cooked that good.,and my old fashioned was mixed perfectly.,it was mixed w out one liquor overpowering the other.,and their creme brulee was done well.,and my wife's battered shrimp was cooked to the letter., Alamo is definitely one of the better steak house's here in little old Mattoon.,,we hadn't been there in over ten years,..and well worth it.
