“I had seen so much about this place online. Then I saw them come up on DoorDash this morning and figured it was time to give them a try. WOW. Probably my new favorite breakfast sandwich in the QCA (sorry, Redband) is their waffle, sausage, egg & cheese. And it’s big enough for 2! SO YUMMY- the waffle has this like lightly sweet coating that gives it a subtle crunch. I also got the Bold Chai- something I’ve been looking for in the QC for yeaaarsss. Exactly what I was hoping it would be!!! Also, you’ve always got to give restaurants some slack when getting DoorDash- but this is a place that has really set themselves up for success with DoorDash orders. My drink came in plastic wrap to keep it secure and was labeled. The sandwich was bundled up well with a DoorDash sticker and everything was fresh and delicious by the time it got all the way to me across the river!!! So excited to try more!!!“

Once at the window, the ladies told me to come inside to enjoy my breakfast.I got a hot Almond Joy latté which definitely tasted like the candy bar but was also not too sweet! The chorizo breakfast burrito was so good! The cheese was perfectly melted throughout! I wish I would have gotten a video.I also got a pup cup for my dog at home as well as some house-made treats. “Cute little coffee shop in Bettendorf. Has a witchy, dark academia vibe to it with super tasteful furniture (Science lab tables, vintage leather couches, pipets as vases). The 2 baristas were very friendly and upbeat. The menu is apothecary themed with “concoctions, healers, slicers, and remedies”. Definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a coffee shop with a more alternative feel. Also the playlist here is phenomenal. Great place to hang out or work/study.“
“I saw this on my way home and decided to stop in. They were surprisingly not busy at 7 am. The café is beautifully set-up with plenty of seating for remote workers, students, or friends meeting up. The staff was super nice and patiently answered all of my questions as a first-timer.I got a seasonal drink, the Cindy Lou. It was an espresso drink flavored with lavender, mint, and vanilla cream. I also got the Heavenly Mama breakfast sandwich which was egg, bacon, gouda, tomato, and aioli on a brioche. Both items were so good! The coffee didn't seem to be over-roasted like most places and they didn't inundate it with syrup. The drink was adequately sweet, and not overly so. I also bought a cookie which is made locally by a small vendor. Everything was delicious! Will definitely be back!“

“My first time here I purchased a Regular black Coffee it was fantastic. I revisit today but I was told they were closed, but one of the gentlemen came outside to greet me, with kindness he accommodated me by taking my order even though they didn't have my preferred request he suggested some others the cinnamon sugar donut spice coffee I topped it off by trying a coffee muffin is flavorful and delicious. “Visiting from out of town. Decided to treat ourselves to breakfast instead of the hotel breakfast. First, the oj was probably the best I've ever tasted. My two youngest split the cookies and cream waffles and fruit and they finished it off. My oldest ate every last bite of his berrylicious waffles. My husband thought the bacon was amazing and I thoroughly enjoyed my eggs benedict. Wish we had a Flips near us. Thanks for the experience.“

“Overall, I love coming here! I do wish they would go back to pre-covid hours. I come here with my kiddos sometimes as a treat and play UNO. It's a nice place to have one-on-one time with each of my kiddos. Wish there were more gf options, but what they have is still good! It can get a little pricey, but what isn't anymore?? Also a nice place to get some work done, if needed, or sometimes to just chill out in the sun.Anyway, if you eat normally, highly recommend! Highly recommend the avocado toast... has ruined me for all avocado toast, EVER!!Dietary restrictions: They have a gf english muffin for breakfast sandwiches and sometimes "Gina's Bars" or gf doughnuts (both individually packaged). “Kind of a cumbersome location for a drive-thru coffee joint. It's off of a main one-way street so don't be an idiot like me and start to drive down the wrong way. I have seen cars dangerously wrapped around the corner on my way out of town several times as well. But, that speaks to their coffee and the people's choice.I got a fancy peanut butter latté with half the amount of syrup. You know, it was actually pretty good...I could still taste the espresso and got just the bit of sweetness I was in search of.I do like that they have a walk-up window for people who don't arrive in cars. “I don't have much reason to travel to East Moline most of the time. I was across the river and away from my normal stomping grounds around Bettendorf to get breakfast in Rock Island. After a great and filling breakfast I still wanted to relax for a bit with a hot beverage and do some reading. With that goal in mind, I made my way over to East Moline to check out Jaded Java and hopefully kick back for a time.The space occupied by Jaded Java is unassuming, to say the least. There's a green awning identifying the location in an otherwise older looking brick and stucco building. The interior is far more updated however, consisting of dark stone-colored tile throughout the space, a series of comfy chairs right off the main entrance, and a coffee/alcohol bar further in. The ceiling is uncovered, allowing for full view of the conduit and HVAC ductwork run throughout. Lighting is provided by suspended single bulb fixtures spaced evenly throughout the space. In combination with the black ceiling, brick wall to one side and beige painted drywall on the other, the space has a certain dark, relaxing warmth to it.Like nearly every bar/restaurant in Illinois, this place also has a series of video slots in a space set aside for their use. Nothing against Jaded Java in particular, as the slots present here looked relatively new and clean, but I wish the state of Illinois could figure out how to allow land casinos and do away with this trend. The space is otherwise really nice, but like all other places that have these slot machines, their presence is a jarring and takes away from the overall ambiance.After a brief chat with the barista/bartender, I settled on a hot chocolate for my beverage. After securing the beverage, I found a semi-comfy chair behind the slot machines and settled into reading my book for a little while. The hot chocolate was pretty good - for the price of $2, I'd come back for this any day! It was rich, had some creaminess to it, and I didn't burn my tongue immediately after sipping it.The ambiance was further augmented by the quiet music playing at the time of my visit. Whoever was in charge of the music had light 70s-80s playing the entire time - a mix of Led Zepplin, the Beatles, and other similar fare. It was at a volume conducive to quiet conversation and contemplation, exactly what I needed and wanted at the time from a small cafe. Keep doing this, it's a great overall functional vibe.If this place were closer to home in Bettendorf, I could envision stopping by here frequently. Alas, this is all the way over in East Moline, so I probably won't be stopping by again any time soon. If you want somewhere to sit and relax mid afternoon in East Moline, I'd recommend giving Jaded Java a try. Thanks for the great hot chocolate!Vegetarian options: Didn't see much in the way of food here on my visit. Certainly the coffee, tea, or booze would qualify as vegetarian, as would many of the pastry on hand. I wouldn't come here specifically for a vegetarian meal, though.Kid-friendliness: People brought their very young children here when I was visiting in the middle of the afternoon. I wouldn't recommend bringing them later in the evening, but this timeframe certainly wasn't bad for kids.Parking: There's a good amount of parking on the street right next to and across from the shop. There's also what appeared to be a free parking lot a few storefronts down from here.“
“When hearing that a new Starbucks would be opening up on my block I was ecstatic. Yesterday evening around 8 PM I walked in to a beautiful and clean Starbucks. The baristas were having a friendly conversation among themselves in the atmosphere was inviting. I talked with both barista’s on shift and they were exceedingly nice. My drink was spectacular. I love an iced oat milk latte with lavender and honey syrup. Oh - they also make all their own syrups!I also have a toddler and I've never felt like the staff or patrons were bothered by my toddler being a kid in public! There is a nice couch area she can play by without bothering others. It's nice to get a coffee and hang out.“

The soft serve reminds me so much of homemade churned ice cream, with a firm texture and a BUNCH of creamy flavor.
