We tried this new restaurant on a whim (we are picky eaters). Being a certified and professionally trained chef myself, I was expecting that I would be underwhelmed. However, I was pleasantly surprised! The customer service was old school type (attentive and pleasant like they value their job) and the food was REAL soul food! It was my first time here. The food was so good, I could have gotten seconds! Very nice atmosphere. Service was on point. It looks like they just opened, which is a great way to kick it off... I'll be back!

I had the fried chicken w/ Mac & cheese, green beans & cornbread & hubby had the fried catfish w/ mashed potatoes, green beans & cornbread. Also tried a sample of salmon cakes. All delicious! The restaurant is clean & it smells great. Not musky like it used to. I love to support local businesses & it’s great to have another good restaurant in Monee. I highly recommend GrannyMa’s Kitchen!
