Ordered off grub hub, I’ve always wanted to try Korean tofu stew but have been worried I couldn’t handle the spice, they let you pick the level and have a super mild offering so ordered it and wow!! This was amazing!! It was still rather spicy (I got the kimchi tofu option with pork) but was manageable for a wimp like me and so so so rich and flavorful. I kept eating it long after I was full because it was so good!!! Will be coming back absolutely (also the marinated cucumbers that came on the side were delightful)

Meat options are nice and tastes ok, but bit pricey. However, their tofu soup probably as best as you can get in Illinois. I can say it's better than SGD.Also, they make Kimchi dumplings by hand. Next time I would try those.

My entree combo meal package, which included Korean barbecue and tofu soup, arrived scorching hot. The beef short ribs had a subtle sweetness and were flavorfully seasoned. It was cooked to perfection; the meat retained its juicy texture and was tender. The ribs go really well with the seafood tofu soup. The soup has a pleasant spice touch and is rich and savory. Silky tofu, clam, and headless shrimp made comprised the soup's ingredients. It's less, but because it was fantastic, it doesn't really worry me.

You get a lot of bang for your buck in this soondubu jiggae joint. They have combo meals where you can enjoy both piping hot soup and your choice of meat PLUS a bowl of rice and banchan.

Dined here 2 days ago and everything was very delicious and comforting. Everyone was hospitable especially the cashier that helped my sister with her order(she was looking for vegan option). The tofu soup I had was just the right balance of spice, freshness and umami. The tofu was incredibly soft and silky, I would dine here just for the tofu.Parking: It’s in a plaza.

Great restaurant for soft tofu stew! I had the combo meal of seafood/beef tofu and beef. The stew was packed with flavor and was delicious while not being too spicy. You can also select between white rice and various (healthier) types of rice - I got the brown rice and it was excellent. The atmosphere is relaxing, and the service is really good. I recommend checking it out!

After multiple coworker recommendations, I finally got to try this place and wow..!!! Definitely one of my favorite restaurants since moving to the state (honestly in my all-time top favs). As other reviews have noted, the soondubu broth is very hearty and there’s a distinct depth of flavor that I don’t think other places have. The tofu itself is also very rich and doesn’t get overpowered by the spice or other ingredients. I also tried the kimchi and scallion pancakes, galbi, and bulgogi over my past 2 visits and everything was delicious. The pancakes were crispy yet fluffy on the inside without being too oily, and the BBQ items had just the right touch of sweetness. The nutritious rice was also amazing (perfectly nutty and a tad sweet) and I haven’t stopped thinking about it! I’m confident that this food would instantly make me feel better during a cold or after an exhausting day of work. Oh, and don’t forget about the banchan! I think their ojingeojeot (?) with the salted squid and daikon is the best banchan dish I’ve ever had in my life.I must also mention the staff are super friendly and attentive and you can tell they really put so much love and hard work into preparing and serving each dish! I loved the banchan so much that I asked if they sell it, and our waitress gave us some extra to take home for free which was so kind. But I really do hope they’ll consider selling to-go packs of the banchan one day. Looking forward to coming back!

Family friendly, Friendly staffs with average service, edamame was offered once seated, but sever never check on us once the foods arrived on our table . Our little one loves fried dumplings and Chodang ribs, ribs are flavorful and tender, beef tofu stew with Udon noodles with great flavor, great for this chilly weather. Hubby enjoys his seafood and beef tofu stew with Steamed rice on the side .Parking: Located in a strip mall, free parking lot
