I am so upset we didn't discover Mia's Cantina sooner! The food here is absolutely top notch. Even my picky as heck kid begs to go there (he's a fan of the steak tacos). For me, the Tacos Norteños are the winner, I've never had anything like it anywhere else. The flavor of the sauce, the fresh meat and toppings, absolutely stellar. Great beans and rice too. The service is always quick and friendly, the man who has taken care of us both times seamlessly runs the bar and waited on us as well. The restaurant is clean and large, would be great for big groups, and my husband plans to bring his work colleagues for a meal there soon! Decorations are bright and fun. We are huge fans, now we are telling everyone to check it out! 5 stars without hesitation.

My husband and I stopped by this place on a whim because it smelled so good and the food looked amazing as we passed by on the street. We ordered the queso as an appetizer. It came in a mini cast iron skillet, and almost tasted like beer cheese instead of traditional queso, but it was amazing! The chips seem like they're probably made in-house as well. I ordered the fried Baja tacos and was very impressed! The batter was perfect, but the chipotle sauce was the star of the show! My husband got the burrito and told me he enjoyed it as well! There was a sign at the door saying it was the top rated Mexican restaurant in Mt Prospect and I can understand why! It is a small restaurant, but we were still able to get in on a Friday evening in about 10 minutes. It's very colorful and fun inside, and the service was great. Highly recommend stopping by here if you're in the area!

Delicious food! The steak was cooked perfectly to specifications and had loads of flavor. The shrimp tacos were bursting with flavor. Loads of shrimp and avocado. They were a little messy but worth every dirty napkin!

My absolute favorite Mexican place in the area. My boyfriend and I go there for date night several times a month and we can never get enough of it. The margaritas are delicious and the tacos are top notch .

I come here because the chips and salsa are to die for! The food itself isn't great. The meat the first time I came was half burned and half raw. The second time I came back the food was okay but we finished our sodas before the food even came out it took forever and we were the only ones here! Afterwards the server never came back. Is there only one person working here at a time?

Baja tacos were very delicious! Mahi mahi tasted very fresh and just perfect! Beans and rice were really good! Chips from chips and salsa are homemade and delicious! Steak tacos steak was pretty good. Place a little small and maybe not very decorated, but the bar is amazing and has an amazing variety of drinks. Bathrooms are pretty clean. Our waitress was very nice. Food did take awhile to come out. Prices make sense and portions are perfect. The A/C does make it cold inside
