The homemade chili & saganaki cheese are my favorites but they have other great menu choices too. I love to eat their in the summer at their outdoor sidewalk patio. The prices are reasonable & the food is tasty.

I have been coming here for years and it is a great neighborhood place for a drink and a nice meal. We have had MANY birthday and anniversary dinners here. Before covid it was a great place to stop by and grab a drink, I really hope that doesn't change once life returns to normal. Definitely check out Sam's Place for a good drink, and a good meal in a "classic Mt Prospect institution"!

I don't understand the 4 and 5 star reviews for this place at all. The food was fine but nothing I would rave about and/or come back for. Utensils are all cheap single use plastic. I don't believe there is any mandate in Illinois that forbids the use of silverware. And when your plastic ware is wrapped up in a napkin sealed with scotch tape, it's obvious that it was assembled by someone in house.Service was totally unacceptable! I understand that this is a weird time and a lot of people (especially waitstaff that rely on tips) have been without work for the past few months. So, you would think they would be thrilled to have customers all ordering food and drinks.After we finished trivia and the trivia host had packed up and left, we were still waiting for our checks. We kept looking around hoping to flag our server down to let her know we wanted to pay our bills. My friend noticed that our server was at an adjacent table...doing shots with some customers! Seriously!?!After we continued to wait even longer, I got to the point where I had to put my mask on to go inside and actually tell her we wanted our three checks. She's standing behind the bar and proceeds to tell me that everyone closes their tabs all at the same time on trivia nights and she's working on them. Perhaps you should have been doing this first and then had your shots after you got off for the night.It's extremely rare that I don't leave a tip (especially at a time like this) but this was truly unreal. I would not recommend this place to anyone and I would not return.
We had this grilled and fried fish dinners last weekend. As always wonderful. Can't wait until Covid is over. Definitely a great place to order from. Large menu awesome food. Great owners

Had Sam's delivered for dinner. It was phenomenal. For 16 bucks, I got skirt steak, baked potato, salad, asparagus and a great dinner roll. Dressing, butter and sour cream on the side. Could get fries instead of baked potato and soup instead of salad. Will definitely eat there again!
