We really enjoyed going to this Starbucks in downtown Mount Prospect in the past, until they totally destroyed the atmosphere with their remodel. The tables and window stools were removed and now you have very limited space to sit, no privacy, and for whatever reason significantly increased the space behind the counter. Horrible atmosphere!!! It is no longer a cafe, but a come and go take out service only. We will NEVER go back!!!

New staff since remodeling is terrible, Cari specifically full of attitude. When asked for refill she could explain nicely the policy and go above customer service instead she left me arguing with her. They need to retrain new staff because no Starbucks ever made me feel this way. Terrible service.

Every single time I go to thud starbucks, I get treated rude, given dirty looks and never acknowledged, I literally have to ask for help every time I'm here and they take 20 minutes everything to make a simple latte. The worst costumer service from every employee

What in the world did they do with the remodel? Hardly anywhere to sit and work. Extremely disappointed. Will not be going back to my formerly old reliable Starbucks to get coffee and work.

I was very surprised to see less places to sit after the remodeling. There is a huge counter which looks very pretty. But where to sit?! I'm thinking that maybe it's to keep out all the rowdy kids that go there. I stopped going to this Starbucks yrs ago because it was a kid's hangout and very noisy. Thought I'd check out the remodeling there, it is clean. I wish Caribou and Peet's coffee was still around. Just having Starbucks all over is boring. I prefer to have a choice.

They closed in Sept 2023 for re-modeling and re-opened in Oct 2023. The dining area can only fit 8 people sitting down. The food and drinks that I always order via app were promptly prepared (as always). However, the interior is now a turn-off. No more place to sit and hang out and have a coffee with a friend. Lame remodeling in my opinion.
