Kind of disappointed. We had been before and liked it. The staff was always super friendly. Just the food wasn't particularly great. A lot of Mexican restaurants in the area. The ambiance is better at other places too

The salad with rotten avocado and rancid flavor is truly disrespectful and unhealthy.

Not sure what happened. I used to love their food. New owners? New cooks? I have never eaten Mexican food anywhere so bland, no flavor, little spices! Don Pedro in Louisville should show them how to cook good Mexican food. That or bring back the old staff who made that delicious food you Used to have!

The meat was burnt. There was no colorado sauce on my chili, colorado burrito. And the beans have an odd Read color to them never seen red refried beans. Obviously, they changed food suppliers, and their food quality has gone down, hill disappointed

Solid all the way around--went in because it had the highest rating in the area (4 stars), and it did not disappoint. It appeared clean, decor was nice, and the service was attentive. The house salsa was decent--seems like 85% of Midwestern Mexican places serve house salsa that tastes more like marinara than salsa casera. This one actually had more flavor than the usual tomato, orégano, and tex-mexy cumin that you find in a lot of places. The salsa picosa (spicy) that I asked for was even better--homemade with a good amount of garlic and cilantro. For my entree I got the Pollo Cancun, which is grilled chicken strips on top of rice, covered with queso dip. The chicken was tender and tasted fresh, same for the rice and queso. As an added bonus, the corn tortillas were high-quality, chewy, and not falling apart, like the usual supermarket ones. Definitely my go-to Mexican place in MT. Vernon.

Ordered the soft shell ground beef tacos. What I got was what looked like a runny tomato based soup with hamburger in it poured onto a soft shell. I should have been offended a spoon to eat it

In a town with a surprising number of Mexican restaurants, this one stands out for its large menu of authentic dishes not served elsewhere. With owner actually from Mexico, one has a choice of more authentic plates than only the usual Tex-Mex items. The menu list numerous seafood dishes, including several with an assortment of grilled mixed vegetables. Where else can one get vegetables other than the usual frijoles and rice? Recommended.
