I have to say best burger I have had in a long time . The people here are top notch friendly great to sit and have a chat. Food is awesome and the food truck is just as good I have been to an event when they were there and could not tell the difference.

Wanted a burger but prices too high (if included fries maybe) so got hot dog and cheese fries. Hot dog was OK but fries were cold and greasy and cheese looked nasty and curdled. Tasted like CheezWhiz from a can.

Meh. Expected more based on the reviews. Place is tiny, burgers are mediocre at best. Burgers had grease dripping everywhere and a sloppy mess.They served us 2 orders of old fries and apparently it's ok to walk away from customers when they are in the middle of a sentence letting them know the fries were very old,greasy and cold. Pretty rude honestly. Didn't give us our ice cream that came with our orders. They were not busy and we were the only customers at that time. Chili's burgers were better TBH.

So after roughly 2 years of listing this place on burgers I wanna try, I finally made it in.Cozy lil burger joint located on the southbound part of Butterfield shortly north of IL 60 boasts a mouth-watering burger cooked your way with fresh cut fries making a great companion. They also have a food truck as well, what a great idea!Venue is ultra clean & sanitized, staff/owners are down-to-earth ultra friendly cooking up some delicious grub at reasonable prices.The owners made my family & myself's first visit a very welcome experience and I'll gladly come back to support this wonderful local business soon!

We had the Lucky food truck for a birthday party and everything from top to bottom was outstanding. The burgers, chicken sandwich, and hot dogs were all great and consistent throughout the party. All guests were going back for seconds and even thirds. The sides we picked were fries and onions which were also great. Staff was on time and super friendly. Price for the food truck was on par with anything you compare it to and staff was extremely nice and friendly throughout the party. I would highly recommend for any event if you are considering a food truck.

Everything here is great! The burgers shakes and fries are all mouth watering and the cashier was awesome throughout the entire meal here. Treat the guys like family because they sure feel like it!

My wife and I just happened to glance over to the right as we were traveling south on Butterfield and noticed Lucky Burger and Grill's sign. We checked the reviews and decided to give Lucky a try. What a fantastic stroke of luck (pun intended)! The burgers are very tasty (and huge). The hand-cut fries are the best we've had in Vernon Hills. The menu offers a variety of very intriguing burger options, plus Chicago-style hot dogs and Italian beef. I also saw a customer enjoy a chocolate shake ... that's definitely on my list of "must try". Give Lucky a try ... you'll be glad you did!

I thought I had reviewed this before. I\We've had takeout or delivery several times from here. For my me this is the best local burger. Thick cooked as ordered ( not a a hockey puck) and still juicy. My only grip is they close a little early. Need to use them more.
Do not drive by this place without stopping in! Delicious burgers and fresh cut fries. The merkt’s cheese is so good on both. Easily the best burgers in town!

First time eating at Lucky, will absolutely be back! Burgers are delicious and savory with well proportioned toppings that require a multi-napkin approach. Hand cut fries are top notch- even take-out remain crispy! Ordered some basic shakes that were good. With full enthusiasm- perfect blend of quality and fast-food guilty pleasure. Ordered online from the app, but needed to call re: allergy- immediate response. Very easy ordering process, accurate pick-up time

I just had finished a round of golf in the mid afternoon and was looking for a little snack to hold me over until dinner. I found this little joint on Yelp and decided to give it a try since I had never been here before. I know they are primarily a burger joint but like I said earlier only a snack was needed so I went with a dog. It was dressed up Chicago Dog style and was very good plus the fries were great! Thats all I got for now. I want to try the burgers that many Yelpers have written very good reviews. Sooo more to come
