Best BBQ in southern Illinois. A little off the beaten track, but well worth an extra drive. Juicy, moist ribs are cooked to perfection. Even the sides are delicious. There is a reason why Pat won Memphis in May. Other BBQ joints might be more famous, none of them have better food.

As much as I love how affordable this place is, I've gotta be honest. The meat tastes very odd at times. There's just something about the ribs. Either they're old, or they're from some seriously beaten down pigs. Maybe the ribs are frozen for a very, very, very long time before being cooked.Now, if you're down to drench the meat in crazy amounts of sauce, which is easy to do because it is crazy how cheap the joint is, you'll hardly notice. But I really do wonder what exactly is making the meat taste so odd.
