This place serves terrible barbecue propped up by patriotism as a way to offset the real rating this "restaurant" deserves which is 2.5 and thats only because the meat can be eaten. We ordered many different things here and they were all bad. The jalapeño sausage were cold and flavorless with no jalapeño heat, chicken was so dry a mouthful of sand would have been preferable, the brisket whether moist or lean both were dry, cold, and flavorless. Speaking on the lack of flavor you'd think the sauces they provide would improve the barbecue but no it somehow turned a barely edible piece of meat into an unedible one. All 6 sauces on the table were disgusting, grainy, and tasted all the same. End note if you want good barbecue don't come here.

This was me and my husband first visit this evening. After driving over 45 minutes, we learn.They had ran out of barbecue ribs That was my main reason because I searched over the website trying to find the best ribs But after looking over the menu I decided to just grab a pool pork sandwich with a side of macaroni and cheese. My husband decided to do the chicken sandwich. O, m, g, we were not disappointed even though. Management, Mr. Adam saw the frustration on my face, to my surprise. He came over to the table because he found a 1/2 slab of ribs. Oh my God, they were so delicious. Let's not forget before that. He came over with some delicious sweet potato pie. Oh my God, that was really delicious. I am not kidding you. I was not only surprised to learn that they honor all soldiers on the wall. So he was very honored to ask me to bring a photo of my son because I am a God Star mom. I definitely will be back me and my husband and I will actually share the restaurant with my family and closest friends.

Always friendly folks here and great food! Police, military, veteran themed place with amazing BBQ meats and a ton of good southern sides. Love the cheesy potatoes and Mac and cheese. With six to eight tasty sauces and some good southern desserts, there's something for everyone. And, of course, the cornbread is a BBQ staple ... Broccoli salad is really good.

I discovered Mission BBQ while in Florida so I researched to see if there is one in Illinois. I am thrilled to frequent Mission BBQ often. My favorite is the pulled pork. The highest quality with great taste and great flavor. I am so impressed with their customer service and their mission to help so many of my heroes in our society. Easily my favorite BBQ place anywhere.

We stopped in to check it out. We were greeted with warm hospitality by John. John walked us through the menu, and made suggestions. After we ordered, our food was served quickly. I was pleasantly surprised at how flavorful the food was. We had a 3 meat sampler platter. We chose the Jalapeno cheddar sausage, The smoked turkey, and The pulled chicken. They were all flavorful and good and the turkey was super tender. There are six sausages to choose from. I liked the sweet heat of the tupelo sauce and my fiance enjoyed the Chicago suite BBQ sauce I liked the sweet heat of the tupelo sauce and my fiance enjoyed the Chicago suite barbecue sauce. If you try this place out, do yourself a favor and try the broccoli salad. It's not at all what you think it might be and it's really flavorful and good. The baked beans with brisket were outstanding. John brought us over a complimentary two portions of sweet potato pie,, which was really very good. Since we don't live in the area, we took a couple sandwiches to go so we don't have to cook for later. Before we left Josh who made our sandwiches was really nice and thank us for coming by. On our way out of the door. Adam, the general manager stopped by and chatted with us. All in all, we felt really comfortable and had great food and a great experience. Do yourself a favor if you're in the mood for some good barbecue, stop by mission BBQ.

Absolutely great, BBQ ! We got to chat with the manager, Adam, who was super friendly and knowledgeable. I did not realize that Mission BBQ was so Veteran and First responder friendly ! It's an absolute great place. I will definitely be going back!
Wonderful atmosphere! Delicious Bbq. My husband got the brisket with slaw. The brisket needed to be cooked a bit longer but tasty. My husband smokes bbq too. The Cole slaw was excellent. I got the pulled pork with cheesy potatoes. The pork was very flavorful. I loved the seasoning and smoke. The cheesy potatoes were great! Yummy! We got 2 baby back ribs just to try. The star! Phenomenal! Overall, when in the area, we will be back.
