I don't know what's going on lately but this is twice now that the French fries haven't been cooked long enough.I hate giving bad reviews but I just had too in hopes that things will change.I've always liked The Bullpen.

Angie, I have been going to the bullpen for quit of few years. Never once did I have an experience you are describing. We have been there when they have been very busy, never a problem!! I can’t imagine any waitress saying she needs a break and hope you’re not eating. I have never heard any waitress complaining about being busy or tired. They are a bunch of friendly hard working women. Their service is impeccable and so is the food!!

If you want something to go you are great. But DO NOT go in to eat. You will be waiting VERY long times for just a drink. Thats if you even see the waitress within the first 15 minutes. Hopefully you dont want more than 1 drink or 1 order cause you will be waiting for at least 35-40 min. My friend ordered 1 budwiser and it took 35 minutes. When we first walked in and sat down the waitress said "you guys arent eating a bunch are you cause im tired and need to take it easy"...JUST WHAT?! Needless to say we all stayed for 1 drink didnt order any food and left. There was a group of 12 of us too. Will not be going back. Only takeout orders. The kitchen is amazing, fantastic food.

Bullpen Burger was delicious. The southwest egg rolls and cheesy potato soup. Today was the fried chicken special. It looked amazing.
Looks like The Bullpen is a popular place with everyone in the area. It was my first time there. They were busy for a weekday lunch, and the ladies working there were handling it like pros. Has a cool old bar feel but also great food. Had a really good French dip and Caesar salad!

Food was fair. My husband wanted the Country Fried Chicken as it is on the menu; however, no white gravy was made so he could not have it. Sad to have it on the menu but not actually serving it. So he decided on the steak special. I order the soup. We were also going to order an appetizer and I also wanted order some baked fish but I suppose they were too busy with the small amount of customers that we didn't get the chance to ask our server before she bought us what we did order.And I didn't appreciate the fact that she bought us our water with holding someone else's beer which was a draft beer. I know some people would say so what... what's the problem. Well, I am in recovery. Seven months twenty days. For some people like me it could be a trigger to possibly think what the heck have one.... If anyone knows anything I can't just have one. One is too many and a thousand is not enough. So I think she should be carrying more than one tablets drinks. I had to add my husband's green beans to my soup so it would have some substance other than big chunks of tomato, a few pieces of corn, and a bit of beef bites.My husband liked his steak and his baked potato. He didn't rave about it and he used A-1.He will eat here again soon I am sure. It might be 6 months or longer before I eat here again and we only live about two blocks away.
