No food for the money you spend here and the service was horrible! They act like they don't care about their customers! I know places with better food than here and you get a lot for your money. Totally overrated!

Manager short and snippy. Employees are great. So let manager know if his customer service skills are less than what are expected from everyone else stay off the counter or stay home...................................

This is a big open building with muted light and jazz playing in the background. It looks like they stole their decor from Po Folks. It's also loud. Lots of people talking, kids screaming, staff calling out numbers, etc.And it's confusing. There are three counters, which one do I order at? They aren't marked. Is one for to go orders? Just for pasta or pizza? Shrug. I ordered, but I had to pick my Greek salad up at a different counter than fiance's Italian beef. Why?The salad was good and there was plenty of it. The grilled chicken on top was okay. It came with hot garlic bread. There wasn't much garlic on it but I still enjoyed it.Her Italian beef was good and her crinkle cut fries were okay.Basically everything is good but not great. They are a chain restaurant serving regional food. There are many better mom and pop joints but Portillos has the name. I do admit, ordering a salad at a place known for its beef may not be a fair way to judge. If we go back I'll try the Italian beef.

For me, this is the best restaurant from this brand. Great decoration inside, easy parking and as you can expect, the best food.

To start with the server, the service was EXCELLENT. The person didn't rush us at all. The person took the order, and emetaly left the table(some servers would likely get sort of involved in our conversation.. Personally, that makes me nuts. There are times I might have a client with me.-- Onward to the food. My breakfast / lunch was out of this world, EXCELLENT, to say the least!!!! Even you're soups, all of them were absolutely ? EXCELLENT!! That day, I ordered " the sweet and sour cabbage.. That was the most EXCELLENT cabbage soup I had ever eaten. That's without question. it is a fact. - Seating, the hostes let us sat any area that we were comfortable...!!!The whole dining experience was extremely excellent..

A classic Chicago restaurant. Great hot dogs, chopped salad, Italian beef sandwiches and pasta. Their chocolate cake is divine---decadent and moist, but not overly sweet. A family friendly restaurant with lots of booths and tables. No table service.
