The first time I tried Taco Maya was in Chicago, and I was so excited once I found out there's one closer to me in Niles! The restaurant is always clean and they have some really pretty murals painted on the walls. The fusion of Indian and Mexican flavors is awesome. I love that they have a "salsa bar" so you can try the salsas at varying levels of heat - my favorite is the habanero! The service is great - you order at the register when you walk in, and they hand you a tray of warm tortilla chips and salsa. Then they bring your order to the table. My family particularly enjoys the masala fries. On my last visit, I had the samosa taco (good), the Nashville hot chicken taco (delicious!), and a chicken tamale (just okay). The tamale was a little dry, but it still had good flavor, and I smothered it in all those salsas! I've also tried grilled steak, chingon, and chili potato tacos. However, our most favorite thing on the menu has to be fried ice cream! It's placed on a crispy sweet tortilla and covered in a cereal and then drizzled with chocolate and caramel sauce. It's AMAZING. I also had the churros on my last visit and although tasty, the churros are stuffed with some kind of caramel, and that's a bit too much. Overall, we love coming here. I can't wait to go back!

This is the best mexican taco spot in the area!!! The workers here are very friendly and were welcoming to my family. They gave us guacamole on the house with our chips and free refills on Horchata!!! Loveeee the Cabeza tacos!!!!

Went in for the first time after watching a movie w the family. Wow the food was delicious the flavor was there. I loved the infusion of Indian flavor and the Mexican flavor. Great quality and flavor. 10/10 recommend this to everyone in the area!!! The service was quick and efficient!

The art murals in this spot are brilliant! So vibrant. The cashier was super friendly as soon as I stepped up to the register, I really appreciated that. I got a chicken burrito with guacamole & it was delicious! I left very full, but satisfied!

I tried Taco Maya for the first time and I loved it. This will now be my go to taco place. There was good seating, it was clean, and it was a bright, friendly, casual atmosphere. The food was delicious. You get chips and salsa with your order. The staff was friendly. I accidentally knocked my soda onto the menus when paying and I felt so bad and embarrassed. They immediately cleaned it up for me as I attempted to clean it up myself and they kept telling me it was okay and don’t worry about it as I continuously apologized. The food came out quickly and it was generous portions. I also like all the variety of food options. The horchata was also delicious. I think my 2 year old son drank his body weight in horchata. The staff come by and clean the tables as each person leaves too. It definitely was a great way to spend dinner with my family on a Friday night. Really pleased with Taco Maya.Vegetarian options: I believe I saw a few vegetarian options. I got a veggie fiesta taco that was SO flavorful. It was honestly my favorite taco. I’m also a meat eater and got some meat tacos too.Kid-friendliness: I liked the kid menu options. My only got a taco and he loved the taco, rice, and beans as well as the horchata.

It can get a little pricy, but it is well worth it. As a family, we have ordered tons of different items from the menu, and we have never had something we didn't like. They have healthier options that taste great as well. You really can't go wrong here.If you want to end the experience perfectly, you have to order fried ice cream. You will thank me later. It is enough for 2 adults. It will make you smile.We have visited other locations as well, but from a service standpoint, this location is always on point. They don't miss. The horchata is pretty amazing as well. I am a fan if you couldn't tell. Go here.
