The restaurant was not too full when I went and was very cozy. I got my food very quickly and it tasted AMAZING and didn't fall apart like some places. The service was also very respectful and polite.

We love Monicals as you may know by our orders, but the last two pieces we received didn't seem to hit the bar. One time yeah I'm good we can deal with that but the last pizza we got was overcooked and I'm not wanting to complain and call and want a free pizza, I just want folks to do better

We were there on Valentine's day and the place was hoppin all the way around. They only had one wait staff for the dining room but she did great. Our pizza and sandwiches were very good.

The parts of the pizza that I was willing to eat tasted good overall and there is clearly potential but some parts of it were pretty severely burnt. My fiance was willing to eat the burnt but I was personally bummed. I don't tend to like thin crust so we don't eat here often and probably won't again for a while if ever. With so many options in town this isn't it.

I always do business with a place twice before I leave a bad or mediocre review, and I really wanted to like this Monical's because it's so close to home... However, during both visits the service was awful. We had a nearly empty restaurant (my party and one other table), and we only saw the server to take our order, drop off food, and pay the check. We had to ask the server twice for a different salad dressing (we received the incorrect one), so we had to wait until the pizza was delivered and ask again. We never got drink refills, because we never saw the server again until it was time to pay. We waited about 15-20 minutes after we finished eating until the server came by with the check.I'm not sure if this is a training or server issue, or if this restaurant is using the servers for other tasks when they aren't on the floor, but either way, we won't be back.Food was good. Great thin crust pizza. But, I would rather spend my money somewhere that prioritizes customer time and experience.

Driving through Bloomington on our return home from St. Louis and we couldn't pass up Monical's. Got a side salad and personal pizza to go - both were excellent, as we've always come to expect. I believe that we heard that this location was the spot where the very first Steak 'n Shake opened, but did not confirm this.

This is the worst monical’s I’ve ever been to. They got our order wrong twice over, and our waitress took far too long to get anything done. The food itself was good, and so was the decor, but that’s a given with monical’s. The whole place reeked of unprofessionalism. Even down to the little things, the back room’s door being wide open, an exit sign being almost ready to fall off the ceiling. Etc. overall this place kinda fell flat. Probably will not eat here again. Instead try the one out by Monticello!
