Looking for a quality meal in a mall food court is challenging. Halsted Street Deli had friendly service. We sampled the chicken noodle soup and found it tasty but not overly salty. It tasted like they made it there not from a can. The panninis were satisfying. We ate it in the food court and they were crunchy, not sure if they would stay that way.

Thr full was like the size of a homemade sandwich your mom would make you as a kid.The pastrami was over saltedThe pasta salad side was super sour and overdressed and came in a little sauce cup thing.I paid $16 for the "meal". While this isnt much more than some delis, delis give you double the portion of everything.

Excellent service. Huge menu. I've eaten here two days in a row. Both lunches were great. Better than most of the restaurants at the HIP. Will definitely come back.

We ordered delivery. I was jonzing for a pastrami sandwich. The sandwich was plentiful, but the meat was bland. I was disappointed. My husband had a beef sandwich, with giardiniera and horseradish sauce and also found it surprisingly lackluster. On the other hand, the salads were very good. I would try it again.

I believe this place has the Best sandwiches and salads in Chicago!No doubt!I love the North Ave Buffalo Chicken Wrap and the Cobb salad.I could eat these everyday for the next 10 years!The people that work there are great which makes it even better.Highly recommend. Get any sandwich. You'll love it!
