Wanted a dessert well past dinner and luckily they were still open. Ordered in the drive through and the friendly staff quickly made our order at this tiny little spot. I ordered a hot fudge sundae with cinnamon ice cream and my husband got a pumpkin pie sundae. Both were so yummy!

This ice cream has been in the Fox Valley for decades and many of us know why is it the favorite place among many people. Having been in other special ice cream places, this one makes flavors seasonally as well as flavors that are well known. Their milk including chocolate is so smooth tasting, it can be addictive.

I've been getting delivery for a few years now and this past year has been absolutely awful.There have been several times where my delivery was not on time and I was without milk for 4 kids in the morning. Then I'm supposed to wait around all day for whenever they decide to come by so my milk/ice cream/cheese/etc doesn't spoil. I shouldn't have to frequently rearrange my schedule to accomodate a service that I am paying for. I understand things happen sometimes but this has become frequent. I don't even receive so much as an E-Mail about it.When I call and ask where my delivery is the women on the phone are kind of rude and seem fine with customers being inconvenienced. One of them offered me free delivery for a few months which was laughable because if you pull up my account I already am mostly getting free delivery because of the amount of items I purchase that qualifies me for free delivery already.One woman told me they are understaffed, so when someone calls off it can move people's deliveries. If you are that short-staffed that it's 2pm right now and I normally received my deliveries between 2-3am, you need to do a better job of staffing. 12+ hours late??? Ultimately, your staffing problem is not the customer's problem.I will just go to the store and buy milk.

Came here to Celebrate my birthday yesterday the ice cream was done as I requested and So was The 3xchocolate shake yum I wish the only thing that should Give you discount on your actual birthday Service was fast I do Love everything here in the store too bad is so far away from Dekalb wanted To get an ice cream Cake it would had Melted Ambiance Is always family oriented because many fathers were there playing chess with their sons or having ice cream. I love to see fathers with their kids eating ice cream I love the cow Containers Outside The building so cute Love the ice cream

Although the line was long, service was fast. My husband and I order the banana royale, hot fudge brownie and mango, pomegranate sorbet. The banana royale was delicious as well the hot fudge brownie, the brownie was still nice and warm. The mango, pomegranate sorbet was too sweet in my opinion ! Pretty fast pace location. Will definitely go again to try different varieties of deserts.

Excellent Ice Cream shop with other options but I love ice cream so I got an Old Fashioned caramel Sundae and it was amazing! You can even look through a window and watch the very complex dairy operation

Clearly said "regular-sized triple chocolate shake" at the drive-thru. Received a PEANUT BUTTER shake! WTF?! That could literally kill someone. How do you confuse that? Seriously reckless. That after waiting behind 8 other cars and tipping the max amount. I'm done.

Our family regularly gets ice cream from Oberweis- And.., Oberweis regularly messes up the order. Their product is good, but for the premium price they should work on making sure that the order is correct. Almost half the time I order, I have to double check before exiting the drive through line. Their line is normally pretty long as it is. Having to hold up the line to hand back the order to the staff to fix only agitates the other customers behind them.

No employee who is blowing their nose and touching things around the ice cream should ever be allowed to work and the fact that this just happened is disgusting for the "high quality" ice cream prices they charge only to serve you ice cold watery shake. Wtf Jim Oberweis pay your employees better to take care of themselves or let them have the shift off so they don't get customers sick.

In Illinois, Oberweis is a big deal. The drive thru lines tell you that without even having to ask. I decided to take my kids there to give it a try and we weren't impressed. The flavors were good but the after taste was one of a chemical flavor. It was weird. I thought it was just me until both kids said it tasted funny after they took a lick. I got a banana milkshake and thought it was just mine. My daughter got chocolate and my son got Birthday cake- all of us experienced the same thing. We are recent transplants from CA so maybe we just aren't used to it and it tastes funny because it's different. Who knows, but it was noticeable to make me rate it 3 stars.

Nice place to have a authentic dairy icecream and other shakes directly from diary outlet. You can buy dairy milk and other icecream tubs for home. Dont forget to enroll and use thier rewards program.

My kids and I had to come out this way to go to Petco. They asked for ice cream and thought I'd save some time and treat them on our way home, then we could head right up to bed. Boy was I wrong!! We got in line around 6:58 with 4 cars in front of us. I thought, how long could this take? 30. Minutes. Do you know what it's like sitting in the car with two toddlers for 30 minutes waiting for ICE CREAM? It's a lot of whining, complaining and "this is boring!!". We slowly crept up to the window to receive our order and thankfully our items were ready. I paid, never receiving a verbal order total or receipt, and we drove away. I rounded the curve and pulled over to give my kids their treats and I realized they never gave me a straw for my sons shake. So I had to get out of the car - in the pouring rain!! - and ask the lady in the car at the window if she would ask for a straw. Ugh, what a mess. I expected more from the headquarters location. I worked for Oberweis as a teen and if my drive thru ever took that long I would have received an ear full from our customers!!

After my 4th purchase of prepackaged ice cream qts., I'm convinced Oberweis is intentionally cutting way back on ingredients. Four small pieces of almonds in an entire quart. Black Cherry had a few pieces of cherry skins etc etc. At $9.00 a quart...I think not! Sorry to say...I won't be back.
