“Somehow got lucky and got seated as we walked in. A quick summary:1.) Ordered Sen Cha tea, beef gyoza, and Monster ramen. Everything was cooked to perfection and tasted great. Only thing I didn’t like was the limited menu add on options compared to some other ramen places around Chicago.2.) Parking can be difficult to find in the area when it’s busy.3.) Service is top line. They refill waters/tea and clear dishes so fast. Dessert menu came immediately after the main course.“

“Very clean and cute shop with wonderful service. The people were very polite and food was quick. I got the orange chicken and it was outstanding. A lot of place use a sugary/ fake tasting orange sauce, but Broccoli has a very authentic and delightful taste. Our appetizers were super good, too. I was in town for a convention but I'd happily drive the hour it takes to get there to eat at Broccoli again.“

“A long overdue review. Noodlebird is one of the best restaurants in Chicago. Every dish is full-flavored, bold, and made with thoughtful and creative pairings. The smoked tofu is incredible, the curry is my favorite, the peanut noodles are so soft and delicious, and the veggie Mac soup is one of my favorites. The bakery is also one of the best in the city. The creative desserts like mochi doughnuts, banana caramel brownie (my favorite brownie ever), the egg tarts (a must if you’ve never tried), the passion fruit Masada, and so many more are the perfect way to end the meal. The service is top notch, timely, super friendly, and warm.Noodlebird deserves any and all accolades for its super-creative dishes, friendly service, intensely flavored food, etc.“

“Went to try this place for my 1st time. When I went in I wasn't sure if I was in the right place. They have construction going on inside and there wasn't a name on the building or inside. Felt confused if I was in some type of office warehouse or something not sure. But I have to admit their food was amazing ?. They have so many choices to pick from. I definitely will be going back to try different plates. The price for the bowls is fair not over priced.“

“First time trying this place and I would go back again. I ordered the seasoned fries. They were very crispy and tasty. The seasoning was a bit different. I ordered the spicy garlic shrimp sandwich with extra shrimp. Absolutely delicious. It was not spicy but well seasoned. The arugula on the sandwich was a nice e compliment to the overall taste profile.“

“After experiencing the new one in Munster, I was in oakbrook and decided to try their BibibopI'm glad to say that the food was just as excellent as the Munster location and shows that the chain is enforcing quality standards to keep all of their restaurants to that same high standard.“

“Got the omakase. The first half was great! Loved the first half. After the second half it was regular foods, simple sushi/nigiri. I was expecting more customization like the first half. At $90 I expected to be wowed the whole time but it definitely got mediocre after the shooters. We got their toro from the today's special and that alone was better than the omakase.**Overall would come back but not for omakase.“

“04/02/24 - What an awesome add to the neighborhood. Teriyaki Madness is in the mall next to The Smash burger on Foster Ave. It's less than 1/2 mile from my house. I actually sampled their chicken teriyaki @ a Yelp event up in Lake Bluff @ Bernie's Book Bank. Teriyaki Madness has a store up in Gurnee, IL The teriyaki comes in 3 different sizes, Junior, regular or large. I ordered the regular sized chicken teriyaki bowl & it was more than enough for me as I had a little bit of left overs to take home. They have different options like regular or spicy chicken, chicken breast teriyaki, steak teriyaki, salmon teriyaki, tofu teriyaki & chicken katsu. Wry good seasoning w Great options. They also have appetizers like edamame, egg rolls, chicken potstickers & crab Rangoon. I was very pleasantly surprised w/the grilled chicken teriyaki served over brown rice w/veggies like cabbage & broccoli. I really enjoyed my meal & scarfed it down. I will definitely be back to try some of their other items like the steak teriyaki or chicken katsu.“

“What a lovely marvel - a mid century modern, quietly spacious Chinese restaurant with a select menu that fits in a small, two page flyer. The service was super friendly and gracious, all questions answered. We had a small dim sum lunch and each dish was prepared to order, some of the best I've had - steamed shrimp dumplings, bbq pork bau, sticky rice with pork wrapped in a leaf and steamed. Even the subtle music - beautiful jazz singing - made us happy. I so want to come back to this gem next time I'm in CHI.“

“We just moved to Portage Park and have been here several times. The sushi is so fresh and good quality, service is absolutely outstanding and Kay always remembers us and makes us feel like family. I'm sad the weather is warming up because the Tom Kha soup is out of this world! Tried the wings for the first time today and the seasoning they sprinkle on them is a magic dust of chili and lime, crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside.“

“I come here for the Bring It On Noodles. This is a soup that tastes like nothing I've ever had. It combines the best of Thai flavors. The soup is spicy, tangy, sweet, savory, and packed with umami flavor. All of the elements of this soup pair so well together. 10/10 for this soup that I have damn near once/week. The owner knows me well at this point. Please taste this soup!“

“Ordered from here for the first time, as it’s super close by and I’m beyond impressed. They left a nice personalized note with my order and the food was to die for. I had the crispy garlic sesame fusion chicken bowl with the garlic butter fried rice and chicken dumplings. The combination of flavors was amazing and for a great price. I can’t wait to try more things on the menu. Thank you so much! Sorry didn’t take a picture of the food as I couldn’t wait to dive in. It looked scrumptious!“

“Good food. I usually hit sushi spots, ALL YOU CAN EAT SUSHI. I was kind of iffy about trying a new spot for almost 30, but for the new experience I had to try. Sushi was fresh and delicious. Plenty of flavor. Crab Rangoon is good. Might actually be a new spot for me.“

“Finally made it here last Saturday. I was expecting to encounter overhyped food but was gladly mistaken. Everything we had was fresh to order. I do not have any complaints. We will definitely be going back to try other items. I have tried many Asian restaurants and have been mostly let down. This restaurant and Wah Sun are the only restaurants I will go to.“

“Forbidden noodles' primarily culinary focus is Japanese Ramen and stir fry selections. The curry is good and tastes very much like the mild golden ramen brand Japanese curry that I make at home occasionally. The chicken and broccoli added to the standard rice and carrot/potato curry mixture were of good quality. The Tonkotsu had very good pork, and surprisingly, it included broccoli as well. The more common ramen garnishes of onions, baby bock choy, egg, naruto (fish cake), and seaweed were also in this bowl and tasted good. They have a cheese, steak, and jalapeño egg roll that was amazing, and yes, you should try one. Forbidden Noodles is a great addition to downtown La Grange and for this area, this is a good choice for ramen in the area. If you are searching for your favorite bowl of ramen anywhere around chicagoland, feel free to check my reviews of alternate ramen restaurant options.“

“Strip mall sushi spots now populate virtually every urban area in the U.S. It's funny to think that 25 years ago, sushi restaurants were few and far between, and for most folks the notion of eating raw fish was completely absurd. 25 years later and they dot the landscape like fast food chains. Most people have their go-to spot for strip mall sushi, and Ichiban is probably that spot for a lot of people. They're not breaking any new ground here, but the service is good, the restaurant is clean and the sushi is delicious. I've only been there a few times for their all-you-can-eat lunch special, and at $21.95/pp the value is right there. They do offer an extensive menu that features a bigger variety of sushi, as well as Cantonese and Hibachi entrees. I would like to visit again in the evening and sample some of the other items offered on their menu. The all-you-can-eat lunch special features appetizers, pieces of nigiri, common rolls, and a selection of specialty rolls. All of the items I've had have been really good. Great spot to go for a reasonably priced, delicious lunch!“

“It was a pleasure dining here at 2 Asian Brothers! They have excellent food and also very flavorful! The staff were very kind and courteous and prepared the food as I requested - without cilantro. They also checked to make sure we were satisfied, and I assured them that everything was delicious! I ordered their classic Banh Mi that tasted very fresh and authentic compared to a lot of other Banh Mi places I've tried in Chicago. Their serving is generous and fair. The staff was very sweet and they have cozy counter service place with an expansive menu of quality offerings. I will definitely come back again!“

“The wife and I were visiting from out of town and the taco place across the street was closed earlier than expected so we headed over to try this place out. The server was very kind, the food was tasty, and there were a couple dudes having a great time singing together; kinda wish I could have gotten a song in but I didn’t want to interrupt their good time. While waiting for our meal I found out my grandma died; nowhere else I would have rather received this terrible news, it was literally impossible to be too sad with those two pals passing the mic back and forth, hitting fewer notes than they missed, but not caring either way. Would recommend.“

“The counter staff was friendly and helpful. I have long enjoyed Korean cuisine and chose the Korean bbq with that in mind. The result was spot on with additional flavor notes that expanded the experience. I am looking forward to making this a regular stop on the rota of reliable favorites.“
“Went for the family dinner. It's a very intimate space as soon as you walk in. Ethan and staff are so friendly and accommodating. We were greeted with some crunchy thin beef jerky and a spicy sauce. Salmon rillete and fresh spring veggies, followed by an 18 hour crunch potato with tartare and roe (my favorite large bite) a nice scallop akin to me like an aguachile. A really earthy curry soup with fresh hers and sans coconut milk. Then came the fried chicken and sides. The fried chicken was every by as good as advertised with the nice flavor and my kee go to fried chicken sauce (lime and fresh black pepper). A nicely fried fresh fish followed by a huge ribeye. Closed off with a dulce de leche ice cream. It's been my meal of the year as of June 23. I have told everyone to try to secure the very difficult reservation. Well worth the wait“

“I just had lunch at Toro Buffet at 4618 W Diversey in the shopping mall. It was the BEST buffet I have had in a long time. I mean excellent good!! Each option was well seasoned well and differently. The serving stations and tables were cleaned constantly by an exceptional staff. A very delicious experience. I will spread the word.“
“We had a good experience. I was with a party of 11. The food was very good and the portion sizes are large, borderline excessive in some cases. The service was good. They have a full bar and were able to accommodate all of our drink requests. Asian style cuisine, including sushi, noodle dishes, etc. With 11 people, alcohol and food the bill before tip was under $300, which wasn’t too bad considering the quality and quantity of food.“

“I've been going to Red Dragon for years. I first moved to Elmhurst back in 2009, and it quickly became my de facto Cantonese place. It's gone through a lot of changes over the years, but the current ownership/management is top notch. They treat my family like family every time we come in.The food is affordable and delicious and you can tell the people who are running that place care a great deal about it.Kid-friendliness: My kids absolutely adore Red Dragon. Not just because the food is delicious, but because the staff is always so kind to them when they come in. They have paper and crayons and have even displayed a drawing or two behind their counter.“

“Came here for the grill table and all you can eat style $30s per person. WARNING read the fine print! If you Do Not Finish a plate you get charged! So order slow ha. We didn't read it before hand and definitely ordered prob 4 plates too much. Sharing is easy and plenty ha. But we tried so hard and left with just little bites left and they understood our pain ha. But the food was KILLER! OMG so good! EVERYTHING! Black tea on the side was tasty. And such a fun experience to cook it yourself. I wish the server was more informative of the menu as well as how to cook certain things and what seasoning or sauce dip goes best. But they were nice enough to not price gouge us so we weren't complaining ha. Has a cute, romantic vibe. Good for small groups. Not much room for huge tables that I saw. Definitely will be back.“

“Wok n Fire in Burr Ridge, Illinois, proved to be an ideal spot for a Friday evening, offering a seamless experience from start to finish. Despite the absence of drinks in their happy hour specials, the regular drinks menu did not disappoint. The blue martini and old fashioned were both expertly crafted and added a touch of sophistication to the evening. When it came to appetizers, the selection was diverse and flavorful. The pan-seared dumplings were a standout, prompting us to order another round, while the chicken lettuce wraps and spicy tuna roll provided a satisfying variety of tastes and textures. The addition of yakitori beef added another layer of indulgence to our meal. The service was exceptional, with our waitress exhibiting warmth and attentiveness throughout the evening. It was heartening to see her training a new team member, a testament to the restaurant's commitment to maintaining high standards of service. Overall, Wok n Fire delivered an enjoyable dining experience, making it a noteworthy destination for those seeking quick bites and quality drinks in Burr Ridge.“

They also have vegetarian options. They have these super delicious almond cookies they give along with the fortune cookies.Thr decorations inside are unique and give a nice cozy look.Occasionally there are free music shows. One night there was Rod Stewart. We didn’t know about him, but we checked later. He is a celebrity of sorts.“
