I hadn't been there for a couple of months and really had a taste for a great pastrami sandwich. I was disappointed in my sandwich. It was dry and tasted just like any other deli meat you could get at a grocery store. I ordered the soup and half sandwich and only ate a few bites of the sandwich. The Kreplach soup was wonderful however and I loved that.

I ordered an open-faced, roast turkey dinner. The stuffing was AMAZING, the mashed potatoes and gravy like home-made, and the turkey was tender and delicious. The best hot turkey (and stuffing) I've had. The Pick-up wait on a Friday night was 45 minutes! There was a guy in a hat meeting pick-up customers almost yelling, 'the foods not up yet. ' We all looked at each other, but good was outstanding.

I picked up a to go order. The older gentleman at the counter was rude. Was my first and last time going there. The food was just ok. Not a lot flavor in the the sandwiches I ordered and the chicken noodle soup was just noodles in chicken broth. I heard great things but I was completely disappointed, especially with the service.

Everybody knows Max and Bennys. Its the BEST. Been going there for over 10 years. Parties, holiday dinners, lunches...never tire of the great food, service or atmosphere . Over the years my dietary habits have changed but the menue accommodates options. Great place.

well , I was very disappointed at my last visit. I stopped to get a couple of bagels with cream cheese the bagels were delicious. the cream cheese tasted like Rosanna refrigerator for a month and it was just a big slab of cream cheese. very disappointed in the presentation in the preparation. The barley mushroom soup was disappointing. the mushroom soup was a starchy mess. there was no broth in the soup. the place went from a five-star to a one star I am wondering if there is new owners or New Management. but I will not go out of my way no more
Honestly I used to love this place. But it’s gone down hill. Recently did a pick up order and ordered a brisket sandwich on challah bread. It came on white bread. Then we ordered beef in a pot. Barely any brisket. (Which I always get this soup and never had this issue) then they throw a whole potato in there uncut because it was RAW!! The slice of cheesecake for $6 is the smallest piece of cheesecake. I really used to love this place. But looks like I’ll start having to go elsewhere. Really not impressed anymore.

The sandwiches and food in general are good. They used to have more healthy options in the past such as fruit plate, but that is no longer an option. Some items just come out in too big of portions. The bread is great, and many of the dishes are great as well. Reasonably priced.

What a old school deli, they have been in business since 1986, almost 40 years. The place is a little dated but the bagels and deli meats are as good as ever.I like that you can still get meats with some fats in them, that’s where the flavors are. Too lean and there’s not enough taste. I do wish their bagels are more denser and chewy too.Don’t get me wrong, they are very good but not as good as some in NYC or LA area.
