Friday pizza night review Came for the pizza would come back for the salad. Atmosphere and service is top notch here. And we will be back to try other things as well. The wedge salad was freaking amazing. They really elevated an old classic! Wine selection is very good here The pizza was good but not amazing. The tart was a nice lighter finish.

Lucca's has a casual, simplistic, elegant feel to it that really works for just about any occasion. The service is friendly attentive and knowledgeable. They have a nice selection of drinks, old standards mixed in with specialties. I went with the Luccachello Martini made with vodka, ginger, lemoncello, and finished with citrus infused smoke bubbles. It was a really cool presentation. The drink itself was mild, light, and very enjoyable. They also have a nice sized food menu with lots of options for everyone. I started with the barbe rosse salad. Roasted honey beets, cheese, basil, and hazel nuts. The beets were cool and juicy, the nuts were crunchy, and the cheese was creamy. A light and tasty way to start a meal. For dinner I had the Spaghetti Neri. Squid ink spaghetti, clams, garlic, white wine, and parsley. Everything was properly cooked. The flavors were mild and enjoyable. I really liked the portion size. Not to big not to small. I would have expected a tad more flavor from this dish but over all it was good. For dessert I had the chocolate lava cake. It was really good. Nice a chocolaty with a surprising lightness to it. A nice way to end the meal. The prices are incredibly reasonable too. I highly recommend.

Cute Italian restaurant in Oak Brook! Indoor, outdoor patio, and bar seating available. Service was great and the owner/manager even came to say hello! The calamari was lightly breaded - just the way I like it. The Vitella Pizzaiola entree was a great mix of veal and gnocchi, and the espresso martini was a great way to end the night. Can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu :)

Truly cannot say enough great things about Lucca & their staff. We love popping in for dinner, so much so, we chose to host my sister’s wedding shower here last weekend. From the initial planning with Sonia to the day of, we were blown away by the food, service and care we received. There is very little needed in terms of decoration [the space is beautiful as-is] and Sonia and her team did a wonderful job keeping everything running smoothly and on time. We even ended up needing to push our first course back by at least 15 minutes and they still didn’t skip a beat. Nothing felt rushed, behind schedule or off beat in any way. The entire staff was very gracious & accommodating.Did I mention the food? Everyone is still talking about it!10/10 recommend for any event. Quality, care, professionalism and service all remain top notch!Kid-friendliness: We had children at our event who enjoyed everything just as much as we did.

Terrible experience. Food was below average and the service felt very rushed. Didn't even finish my food and they took my plate away. Manager was rushing to reset/flip the tables and kicked us out very quickly when we still had family talking. I will not be back.

Food was ok, not bad and not great. But for the price it’s definitely not worth it. Just grilled calamari appetizer was $24. Dover sole $65 dollars and was definitely overcooked. And the server just wanted to up sell everything he could without letting us know what was the cost.Just way to overpriced for what you get.

I dined here this past week and the food was excellent! I got the Pappardelle Bolognese and it was very tasty. Our waiter Luis was excellent as well and he made the whole experience very enjoyable. Overall a great restaurant with great food and service!

I love this place the ambience in this place is awesome.. But do you know what makes this place better our awesome waitress Tabitha she was so sweet and attentive she knew exactly how to handle us. She gave us great recommendation's for food. And the Manager Judy she is even better. So sweet and very accommodating. So thank you Judy you and Tabitha are awesome.Ok so the food was delish, the wedge salad was to die for and it was full of of flavor, we also ordered gnocchi with veal it was succulent and very filling. The other dish that was ordered was seafood Zuppa de mare zesty and deliciousness from the ocean mussels calamari clams and crostini and the broth was very flavorful. The fig pizza was underwhelming I feel it needs more sauce it's a bit dry even though it is a fig based pizza .. so I don't know it wasn't that great. But my penne dish with scallops was so tasty and flavor it just has the perfect amount of spice. So just get that dish. Please get a orangecello shot at the end in that cute little frosted shot glasses. So do I recommend this place? yes I do !!!

Lucca’s hosted my daughter’s bridal shower for 58 adults and 10 children in their main dining room.. All guests had arrived by 12:30 when bread and salad were served. And then we sat there. Bread, oil and cheese was removed to make room for the main course. The MOB, MOG and Bridal table had no food for an hour. At 1:30, with no food, I had to get up to inquire what was happening and was told the other two parties in party rooms had to be served. When I asked for management, I was told after nearly an hour that guest were still eating salad. No apology! Blamed my guests! This was only three hour event and an entire hour was lost. One third of the time planned for the shower. Shower games had to be eliminated and instead of eating, we ran around in a frenzy trying to get planned activities done in the limited remaining time. Games were forfeited, speeches regarding bride to be and groom eliminated. At 3 pm, tables weee cleared, martinis and drinks removed as the staff set up the restaurant for 4 pm dinner, all while my guest were still in the process of leaving. Needless to say it was chaos.Had there been any communication of the delay in serving our party, we could have shifted to games the hour we sat there without food. It’s not like you get to do over these events and it was extremely embarrassing to have my guests without food for an hour and to have to answer calls about answers to the games we were unable to play. As always the food that was finally served was very good. But management and communication failed big time!

We've traveled throughout the US and other parts of the World and have always considered Chicago a food city. Lucca is representative of that reputation. We dined there recently while in Oak Brook for our daughter's baby shower and were not disappointed. We are friends with a family in another city that owns five star Italian restaurants and are very picky about Italian food. Lucca met our hopes. After a day of travel coming from southern Florida we were starving. We devoured the fresh bread with olive oil and parmigiana. Followed that with the burrata appetizer which was delicious. Then an order of the veal cutlets which were perfectly cooked and presented. Many restaurants overcook the veal. Also an order of the fettuccine which was prepared table side and was great. We didn't finish that dish and took some back to the nearby Marriott which was also very pleasant. All in all a good trip.

We sat for an hour without food! Served salad at 12:30 at 1:30 asked to speak to a manager. Instead of apologizing they blamed my guests for not finishing their salads in an hour. Never get the three hour Bubbles and Berries package. Last hour and a half, was a total waste of money. Event was for a bridal shower of 58 adults and 10 children for three hours. A full one third of the time was spent waiting for food to appear. No communication that there were problems. No apologies. Very disappointing experience.

We came here for lunch on Thursday and sat at the bar. Karen was our bartender and she was very friendly and her service was excellent. We had the beet salad and a pizza and both were delicious. The restaurant is beautiful and bar is very inviting. I highly recommend checking it out.
