So, it was my first time at Anfora Wines and I PURCHASED a bottle from this beautiful establishment ( waitress was wonderful) and enjoyed it there but was smacked with a corkage fee of $20 ( ??? ) . I asked the owner/ manager why and she went on to explain to me that it’s higher in more established places, ( yeah if you’re bringing your own bottle ) and I’ve enjoyed wine from various places in the world such as London, Paris, Capetown, Rome, Milan, and recently in Barcelona and NOT ONCE have I ever been charged for enjoying a bottle. Kinda disappointed.

This place is amazing. The wine is spectacular and our hosts were so friendly, welcoming, and kind. They know a ton and love sharing their passion for Italy. Their hospitality is second to none. I can’t wait to go back!

Such a cute wine shop but the owner makes it ugly. His attitude is far from friendly. My friend and I met up after work. We sat outside. It was a beautiful day. The waitress was so nice and attentive. We ordered olives and had a bottle of wine. The owner came out and greeted everyone but us. We're Black professionals. I asked him was he okay because his attitude was horrible. He wouldn't answer. I asked him for a wine suggestion and I could tell that he didn't want to have anything to do with me. He would come out and check on all the white customers and ignored us.I don't know the owner, never said anything to him but if you're Black DON'T SUPPORT this business.

Come on, this is clearly not a restaurant. The owner is rude, they don't know their wines, and they always blame the customer for everything so they don'thave to refund/exchange anything... stay away.

The most charming place! Came for a pre-dinner glass of wine (and stayed for two!). Sat outside on the cute patio. Friendly and welcoming staff! Cannot wait to come back and purchase wine as well.
Lovely wine and friendly service. Can’t wait to come back!

All the staff is lovely, and you’d be hard pressed to find a wine selection this good anywhere else in Chicago.

The best wine experience. A fantastic selection with something for everyone - from classic to funky. Great range of price points, cosy ambiance and most importantly incredible, knowledgeable, unpretentious service! Couldn’t recommend more!
