Jerusalem Cafe is like a cheat code for affordable, nutritious food in Oak Park. It's just about the cheapest place to get tasty salmon in downtown OP, and all the food is reliably delicious. I've lived here long enough to remember the restaurants that used to occupy this space, and I'm glad Jerusalem Cafe has stuck around.

This place is the best. The combination plate and the gyros are really good. They taste fresh and authentic.

Terrific place in downtown OP. Food is extremely tasty and fresh. Quick and thoughtful counter service. Particularly like the beef shish kabob, chicken shawarma and combination feast entrees. Don’t forget the red hot

Good food! I came here on a Saturday night for dinner; Jerusalem Cafe is nestled on a busy street in downtown Oak Park where you can find street parking (and a super cheap parking garage nearby which is where we parked). Inside is a very humble, down-to-earth vibe with seating dispersed throughout the restaurant. There were lotsss of takeout orders and people coming & going. We opted to dine-in with our meals. The employee who took our order was very friendly and helpful! She answered all our questions. We got the chicken shawarma and chicken tender entrees, which came with rice, veggies, pita, and a small thing of hummus. If you want sauces it's 65 cents each (I got the white garlic sauce and their spicy green sauce). The meal was good; it wasn't anything out of this world but it was definitely yummy nonetheless. I wish the sauces came with the entrees. My sister got the lentil soup too; it wasn't the greatest. I think their fattoush salad would be a better addition to the entrees instead of the veggies since it's a bit more authentic that way. This was the first mediterranean place I've been to that served veggies instead of some sort of Arabic or fattoush salad on the side with their entrees - it was still good, I'm just used to having salad instead and think it fits a bit better! Overall I had a good experience here at Jerusalem Cafe.

The deluxe falafel sandwich and chicken dishes at Jerusalem Cafe are amazing and beyond tasty!! The staff is very friendly and it's a very well-priced place Middle Eastern restaurant in downtown Oak Park. I highly recommend it for delivery or before or after seeing a movie at Lake Theatre.
Yummy, fresh and delicious! Love their lunch special with Tzatziki sauce! STAPLE!

Jerusalem cafe has the best falafel, fresh hummus and tabouleh. My daughter had beef shish kabob and was very happy with it. The prices are very reasonable. Parking was a little problem, but since weather was not too bad, waking through downtown oak park was fun.Vegetarian options: Their falafel is the best I had

Tonight, I had THE BEST grilled vegetable pita with Hummus and garlic sauce anywhere! My new favorite, on a well-done crispy pita!! Excellent! I want another one now

I got takeout last night and I was nervous because I've never tried this kind of food before but I was IMPRESSED!! I got the combination bowl which completely filled me up plus I had left overs. It was an amazing dish. I loved the grape leaves as well as the desert! I highly recommend and will be back.
