I only give it “2” stars for food because my partner enjoyed their pulled pork sandwich. But the RIBS?!? I came here 2 years ago for the rib tips since i live in the area and they were great. This past week I went there and ordered some rib tips as I was craving some….tell me WHY the rib tips were tough and the texture hinted they were old. I should’ve known something was off when I didn’t even smell ribs cooking and the floors were STICKY to walk on….in fact, there was no indication any food was being cooked at all, and we came there around 1p, so it was still early in the day….ive been to plenty “hood” places and you can SMELL fresh ribs being prepared from outside ??♀️??♀️??♀️. It’s a shame how “we” try to support one another and get some good cooking, and be disappointed that quality has left the business. And we tried to get a couple beers at the bar and one of the workers just looked at us and walked back into the kitchen. Wont be coming here anymore…

I like BBQ, a lot! I like it because Robinson’s introduced me to it as I grew up a few blocks from the original restaurant.I made it back in after moving away and I must say they have maintained there #1 status! Huge rack of ribs, well cooked, tangy sauce with a perfect pull. I had missing out since moving away. Pulled pork sandwich was great too. Juicy and flavorful.

I recently attended a family event hosted at this venue, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time. The buffet-style food setup was convenient, the staff was attentive, and the atmosphere was perfect. The well-stocked bar and available jukebox added to the experience. The venue was impeccably clean, including frequently maintained restrooms. Thanks for a great experience, great food, and service.

I used the LOVE food and customer services. But NOW it's gone to the Point that it Looks and Taste like GARBAGE. It's ashame because I want and love to support BLACK OWNED BUSINESSES. WHY are you not caring about the food PREPARATION and PRESENTATION anymore? I Am very disappointed in the way you cook, smell and the presentation of the food. How did you become the ONE to NOTHING. The place is NOT THAT CLEAN. The parking is impossible. ASHAME ON YOU. PEOPLE BEWARE THEY ARE NOT GOOD ANYMORE.

I went in and placed an order to go. The service was good and quick.I started going to Robinsons ribs when they had a location in Lincoln Park. The ribs and sauce still excellent, although not as much meat on the ribs. The coleslaw worked. The fries were soggy and minimal. Why even add one piece of stale bread?I read the other reviews and I would be open to try this Sunday buffet!

The person taking order could not. I should say would not make eye contact. Acted like you're a bother by coming in to order. Dude, what else are you doing? Nobody was even there. He killed my mood and appetite. I hesitantly ordered to go. But decided I'm never EVER coming back. My hard earned money needs to go to more desirable places. I wished to have stayed ordered cornbread a couple of drinks. While the wait. However, I was turned off. Too bad too. I live close by.
Shawn was very helpful and kind as I was trying to bring some rib tips back to Texas with me for my friend - he was able to package some for me frozen and gave me a bottle of sauce! I bet I’ll be making this delivery whenever I come home for a visit- Texas may have brisket but Chicago has the Tips!!!

Just left the taste of Chicago. Ordered the Tips and a Link. The link wasn’t cooked properly it was very uncooked as if it was was took out the box and bbq sauce was poured over it. I talked to a lady at the station that seemed to be the manager. Because she was the only one wearing regular clothes. Her response was ok you can buy another one and I can have them leave it on the grill longer and I need to pay first. Food and service from this place is terrible very terrible
