My family and I were visiting Chicago for the first time last week and we stumbled upon Scratch on Lake when we needed a quick meal. I don’t ever write reviews but the service we received from Bridget was the best I have ever had! She was so kind to us and answered all of our questions. She even gave us recommendations for activities for the rest of our trip. Overall there are not enough words to describe how amazing of a waitress Bridget was! I will now tell all of my friends to visit Scratch on Lake when they are in Chicago!

The last time we visited SOL, the service was rushed, annoying, and unprofessional. This used to be a place for a casual, relaxed meal. The food was just okay, never great. Now that is ruined. I will never return to SOR and recommend others stay away.

Food is basic, service is fine, but they leave their rave music on all night, once all the way until the following morning. It’s so disrespectful of the ppl who live in the building.

If you are a meat eater, there are a lot of options on the menu. My impossible burger was very good.Vegetarian options: I had an impossible burger. Was very good. There was another vegetarian burger available, but the ingredients included jalapeño, and I don't handle spicy foods well.
