“One of the best dining experiences I have had in years. Very interesting menu with incredible flavor, beautiful presentation in an intimate, warm environment. I did not know much about Spanish cuisine prior to MFK aside from paella, but now I am looking for similar experiences like MFK. The potato and smoked piquillo croquettes were awesome. The flavors in this, what I expected to be a simple dish, were a complete surprise. The skate and chips were amazing. The best skate I have ever had and I do not know what they do to the chips, but they are delicious. The fideo (I have never heard of this dish) was incredible and the saffron cream sauce was out of this world. I consider myself a foodie with high standards. MFK blew me away. If you are into the entire presentation from apps to drinks to entrees, this is your (and my) place. The sauces were delicious and unique. Do yourself a favor and get to this place. One more thing, the burnt basque cheesecake was delicious.“
“We asked our driver for his no.1 recommendation for our lunch... As he hails from Galicia, he could not recommend Boqueria enough... It did not disappoint! Great atmosphere and service! Total flavor reminders from our trips to Spain, with a little twist.“
“Wonderful restaurant. Sorry I didn’t get to say “Hello” to Chef Bolaños. He was talking to some friends. We were dining there on Sunday. A wonderful guitarist playing. Perfect music for dining. Great tapas! Love, love, loved the Pulpo a la Planxta, the Patatas Barillos and the Melon con Jamon Serrano. The Mariscos Paella was good, but I missed the crispy bottom rice. Nice little place. Great menu that lights up. It’s BYOB, and fortunately there is a store across the street that has wine! If you forget to bring your own. Have already recommended it to others.“
“This place is the place to be if you're eating with a big group. Tapas are always such a great way to bond with others and share delicious food -- essentially sharing everything and tasting all sorts of flavors.Lisa was a fantastic server and I would recommend her over and over again.Emilio's Tapas Bar is A MUST GO.“
“Excellent services and AMAZING SPANISH TAPAS! Took me back to Spain would love to go back and 10/10 recommend good food and vibe ordered the Catalan bread meatballs garlic shrimp green peppers Iberian croquettes x2 (order a second serving cause so good)“
“Fritada is delicious! I had to eat my plate in the car because the smell of the food was sooo good. This is my go to place for food after work. 100% would recommend and they are always so kind. Ma and Pa Location. They used to have a different location that my family would go to but they closed and moved. We didn't find the new address until last year and I'm never losing this spot again.“
“The food is outstanding! Every dish I have had has been amazing. The atmosphere and ambiance is great and comfortable. Service... the red haired bartender likes to jump in on conversations adding judgmental Christian comments. If you ask for shots on a Sunday and use the term "Sunday funday" he'll correct you saying "this is Christ's day". I've eaten there several times and somehow he's the only staff member that has waited on us and each time, he always says something religious and judgmental. The food is really good, it just comes with a side of Christianity.“
“An exceptional experience at Bulerias Tapas! The service was top-notch, the cocktails were crafted to perfection, and the food was beyond fantastic. The ambiance truly sets the stage for an unforgettable meal. A must-visit spot in Chicago for anyone seeking delightful tapas and an all-around great time!“
“The tapas selection is excellent. Each comes with ~3 servings, and there is something for everyone! Highly recommend the stuffed Spanish peppers and pork medallions. Service is spectacular - they don't judge how bad your pronunciation “
“I love this place! I can’t even begin to count how many times I have been there, but it never lets me down. I love the vegetarian and vegan options!! The people that I have gone with that eat the meat dishes also say it is delicious. I always get the soya torta & Soya chicken tacos.“
“I went for the first time on Thanksgiving for tamale dough. And I have to say that I was a bit hesitant but in the end I decided to bring masa and I don't regret it. My tamales were so delicious that yesterday I returned the masa, it is neither white nor yellow and it also doesn't spoil. Yesterday I bought it and today I used it and it is good. The only thing I didn't like is that it is already packaged in 5-pound bags and I personally only need 2-3 pounds. I would like them to have the option to choose how much to buy. But for the rest 100% recommended.“
“We went during Chicago restaurant week. We got seated in the very cute dining area upstairs. The food was delicious! We ended up getting an early reservation, so we were able to get some items off the Happy Hour menu along with the CRW24 menu. The service was incredible. Our waiter took very good care to check on us regularly. The food and mood were awesome.“
“We mainly come here for their rotisserie chicken and fried yuca which are amazing. The only issue I have is they don't give you the traditional colombian spicy sauce or Ají, but instead they give Mexican green salsa (salsa verde). Another thing I don't like is they jack up the price for the Colombian soda...$4.00 for 1 can of Colombiana while 1 can of Coke is $1.99? that's crazy.Overall the food is very tasty but please, give customers ají Colombiano instead of Mexican salsa verde.“
“Rustico's new space on Oak Park Ave. (in the old Oak Park Brewery) is incredible in terms of its aesthetics. Very open, high, exposed bow-tie roof trusses, reclaimed wood plank ceiling, a really cool floor (tinted concrete?), and exposed brick walls. Totally cool vibe indeed. Myself, my wife, and two 21 year old kids dined there 1.5 weeks ago and it was awesome. Upon arriving, we were seated immediately. All of the staff that helped us were great: fun, personable, and attentive. We ordered the seafood Paella, Carbonara, Fruitti Di Mare, and Braised Short Ribs. All seafood in the Paella and Fruitti Di Mare was cooked to perfection-nothing was the least bit rubbery and everything was quite savory. The Carbonara was so tasty and incredibly decadent (which, when ordering Carbonara, you almost expect!). The Braised short ribs that my son ordered were so good (based on his review), but unfortunately, decorum prohibits printing the words he used to describe his love of the dish herein. When the bill arrived, there was absolutely no sticker shock and in fact, my wife and I felt that the entrees were very reasonably priced (especially given their generous portions). I don't think that many diners leave this place hungry. Personally, I love Rustico as the food is awesome but the restaurant is anything but pretentious. We will most def be back soon! Jimmah!“
