Peel Brewery Brewery • $$
104 S Cherry St, O'Fallon

“I was confused as to why this place only had 8 reviews… then I realized the pizza place attached has nearly 2600 gleaming reviews. As it should. The wings are incredible (maple bourbon black pepper glaze ftw) and the pizza slaps. However, the brewery deserves it kudos as well. I got the Truffle Shuffle, a golden stout, and my wife got the blood orange wheat. Both are something to write home about.Great place! Bring the whole fam.“

Shoehorn Brewing Brewery •
225 E Main St, Belleville

“Glad a new brewery opened up in downtown Belleville! The location is great, right on the corner. Pretty painting on the side of the building, a little outdoor seating area that's doggo friendly where you can order with a QR code. You can pay online, too. The inside is small but somehow still seems spacious, probably due to the high ceiling and good layout. Staff was friendly and prompt. The beer was good, averaging for the metro area, and had lots of options. I was pleased about the hard cider options as well. They have some snacks for sale but no actual food - that would be a nice addition, or maybe a partnership with one of the neighboring businesses.“

“Getting Better. Old Herald Brewer & Distillery started with a lot of positives and has evolved, getting better all the time. Everyone can find faults and recommend ways that the businesses can be better and management probably realizes most of the little problems. Old Herald evolves and we celebrate that. It is fun to see what they do next and keeps us coming back. Yes, some of the stuff we miss and hope it comes back, all we can do is say what we like and what we don't like.... Like the tiny plate for their awesome Chicken & Waffles, or that Old Heralds unique "Coalsch" beer, a cousin to the German Kolsch Beer, is no longer on the beer menu. BUT! There are several unique and awesome mixed drinks that everyone who enjoys mixed drinks should investigate. They change stuff so fast that their web site can't keep up, but it seems the Facebook page does. I hope they keep up the good work!“
