The food is very expensive. The smoke turkey leg was the best thing I ate out of the greens, fried catfish, mac and cheese, yams, dressing, and peach cobbler. Everything was salty! Also, I'm not a fan of being asked for a tip when ordering online. It makes you feel obligated to do so or else...

Went on a Friday was excited to get fish. Got the cat fish a little pricy but thought it would be worth it. Sadly disappointed. Very bland surprisingly the macaroni was terrible, bland it was like mush and the Cole slaw it was like sweet or something overall just not good. I was surprised saw a lot of good reviews on Facebook definitely won't go back

Been there a couple of times been ok the jury still out but the last time I been there 3 days ago the greens was so gritty taste like they where season with sand And whe know green eaters that mean they weren't Clean properly and that makes me suspicious about everything else

Today I had the opportunity to visit Ray's soul food and turkey legs. My experience was AWESOME. Our sever Linda was ATTENTIVE to our needs . The food was MAGNIFICENT and the service was SUPERB. My husband and I both ordered the catfish fillet with candied yams and macaroni & cheese our meal was fresh, hot and SCRUMDIDLYUMSIOUS. Our 6yr old son was satisfied with his meal as well. He had chicken wings with fries and he left no meat on his bones which was compliments to the Chef if you ask me because he's a VERY PICKY EATER. I would definitely HIGHLY RECOMMEND this RESTAURANT. You will ENJOY the FOOD, the SERVICE, the MUSIC, the FREE PARKING, and the ATMOSPHERE and once you're done with your meal. Ray himself comes out to greet you at your table. I was beyond IMPRESSED !!!! Ray's restaurant SUPERSEDED my EXPECTATIONS for sure and I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this ESTABLISHMENT to my family, friends & co-workers.??

I gave this a try wanting to find a new place to get southern food nearer to me. Unfortunately, I can't say that I loved or even liked it. My catfish was too salty, and for me to say that, it was salty. My macaroni amd cheese was like a bug glop. I enjoyed the greens. They would have been perfect if it had some meat in it. It says with smoked turkey on the menu, but I didn't see it taste any. The cornbread was good. My most frustrating was my peach cobbler was runny and mushy. Maybe it was an off day, but I am not sure I will go back again. I do want to say I received excellent customer service, and I did like the atmosphere. | Service
