Alfano's has been a favorite restaurant in our family for a long time. We've never had a bad meal. We have friends from Monroe (WI) who drive past several Italian restaurants to eat at Alfano's. It's their favorite, too. I took away a star for the atmosphere because of the gambling area. It is private and quiet, but it takes up some of the previously available dining area.

Another gem in town. They worked fast. Did well with a large group. Pasta portions are huge.

Always friendly. Owners greet you by name. Food is always good & generous portions. The beer nuggets are delicious.

Not what it used to be to be. Very high priced and quality of food just seems hurried and had to call back to get total when already asked and hung up

Ordered an Alfanos Special and requested half Anchovy. Waited an hour for delivery and no Anchovies! I had several ppl waiting for a pizza. I called them, and the waitress says "oh, the driver was supposed to tell you we are out of Anchovies. We've credited you $2" Since when is it the drivers responsibility to tell the customer they're out of a topping? Shouldn't the waitress have called the customer and offer the ability to add something else? I thought this to be very poor waitressing and a bad reflection on the business.

A rare 5 star. The service is amazing, but more so is the food. An unexpected gem in the middle of nomansland, Oregon Illinois. Now... for a quick drive out, this hidden gem is in the heart of downtown Oregon, right on Highway 2. Set off on its own, I never would have come but my kid has been here before. The prices haven't been hit by the current economy. Portions are fresh and huge. Be prepared for leftovers unless you are a big eater. The servers are friendly and really attentive. The food fresh, delicious, and prepared to perfection. Seriously I'm a bit stunned and grateful for this find. Oh, and the Chianti... smooth. Again a shock.Vegetarian options: Eggplant parmesan, stuffed shells, pasta, soup, salad, pizza, and appetizers.

Had dinner with a friend I thought he had been seated so I just went to table. 15 minutes pass and I get up and ask waiter if we could have menus and he very rudely said you have to wait to be seated then gave me two menus. I didn't even see the sign when I came in it's dark in the area where you come in and the sign is also dark and hard to read.I had my son's and daughter in law's wedding party and we had excellent service but we also had one of the owners for a waitress.

Nice little place. Food was really good. Only thing I could fault was the quality of the chicken used for the chicken parm. It was a little

I won't say it's the worst pizza I ever had, but it wasn't very good....Weak toppings, dry plain crust, undercooked, and not enough cheese...you can do better with a frozen pizza cooked at home.

A good go to place for Italian food. Their sandwiches are particularly good. I took one star off because I really think the sauce that they use in their pizzas is bland. Many people swear by them, so it may be just a matter of personal taste. However, they are prompt with deliveries and have always been friendly and accessible during the few times that delivery went wrong.

I am from Peoria, Illinois and am visiting Oregon, Illinois. This is my first time at Alfano's and it was excellent. My server was also the owner's daughter and was literally serving every table in the restaurant. In spite of this I still had NO WAIT to be served or to receive my food and the place was packed, even on a Thursday night.( apparently locals know this is a great place to eat) My server/owner's daughter greeted many people coming in by name. Not only was service and food great, but the prices were very reasonable. The only reason my price was in the 20 to 30 range was because I had a couple of glasses of wine, otherwise would have been 10 to 20 range. I highly recommend Alfano's and will definitely be returning the next time I'm in town.Parking: Even though the place was very busy, parking was very easy with plenty of spacesKid-friendliness: There were many families with kids and owners daughter greeted children also and was very kind.
