Went to Zwar in Orland Park for Eid. Once I ordered my food, I was given a bottle of water. Bad presentation but not too big of a deal.Once i received my food, I noticed that they gave me a wrong item. so when I told them the item was wrong (Ordered lamb skewers instead of beef kofta).Instead of taking the plate back, the server states that "This is the lamb". Unfortunately, I'm no fool and being from America, we know what ground beef taste like.I ignore it because it's Eid.When going to pay, I noticed my bill was a little high, again not thinking nothing of it, I let it go and left a 15% tip.Looking down and the receipt, I noticed that the server put a 20% gratuity for himself.He asked if I wanted the tip back that I paid him in cash. I told him to keep it and then I left.Needless to say, I will not return to this establishment. Food had an amazing presentation but it was bland. Service was terrible and the atmosphere was okay. Could've been better, but they thought it was a good idea to show the news of what's going on over in Palestine on the TV.

After reserving a table for Ramadan Iftar today by phone at 4 pm. We arrived to the restaurant 15 prior to Iftar time. The floor guy instead of seat us, he said that our reservation was cancelled and he couldn’t call me back. He said there is a private party (65 people) for the restaurant manager and no strangers are allowed in.Shame on these people to deal this way with customers. I will never go back to this place again and advise everybody not to deal with this restaurant again . They should have more respect to the community.I found out they did the exact same thing today with 2 ladies of my wife’s friends.This is so ignorant.

The worst restaurant everWe made a reservation for breakfast in Ramadan, and when we arrived at the restaurant, they did not allow us to enter because of the presence of the restaurant manager’s family. They did not want any stranger to enter, and they made me cancel the reservation without our knowledge.But this event was fortunate for us because the smell of the restaurant was not encouraging due to the smell of burnt frying oil reaching the outside of the restaurant ??

This is 5 star Mediterranean!!!!! I’m so glad I decided to stop here. I had been driving past it for a while but decided to try a new spot and It owes me nothing! The Flavors are so good!!!! The chicken skewer plate was EXCELLENT!!!! So tender & juicy! I didnt think I was going to be able to eat it all but I ate the entire plate!!!! Can’t wait to go back!

I had my sons engagement party last Saturday. I was totally impressed by the food and service. My guest called me the next day raving about the food and the hospitality that we received. I definitely recommend this place. The owner was very pleasant and did everything in her power to make us happy. Thank you Zwar Restaurant for your food and great service…..

Great restaurant, we enjoyed going there! We had a party there and it was great. The food was delicious, the service was great and the atmosphere was really nice. We had a great experience there!
The food was great- got the ‘Special platter’ for two, which included beef kabobs, kifka, and chicken. Just two challenges:1) the platter was brought to the table liberally sprinkled with slivered almonds. This would have been amazing except that one of our party is severely allergic to almonds. The server were very apologetic and might have taken it back- we opted to add something else and keep it.2) the price of the platter rang up $10 more expensive than the menu had stated- a 25% increase. When asked, he said the online menu was not updatedWhat’s the conclusion? Everything we ate was amazingly good, and apparently quite authentic. Just be warned the online menu (the only menu we saw) was incomplete and inaccurate. So ask all your questions up front, including pricing if it’s important.

I hosted a Birthday dinner for my fiancé at Zwar. The food was amazing. The staff was so helpful and friendly. The service exceeded my expectations! I love this place!

Excellent, friendly service, delicious food. We had the mixed family grill with shish tawook, ground beef kafta, and lamb shish. They were all good, but the kafta and tawook were definitely tops. Also the hummus with lahme and arayes were so good! As a nice touch, he also provides pickled garnishes, bread and sauce if you'd like to make a sandwich from the meats. The decor is pretty nice with some modern and traditional elements. One of the TV's was playing a children's show, which was nice for our young one.
