We loved this place. Ate there twice on our trip to Starved Rock. Great service and food.

The vibe is industrial and it's an interesting space. The beef/bacon bits/bacon strips is very good and the side salad fresh. The service is excellent. There's plenty of free street parking.

Excellent food and great service. Their seasonal menu items are something to write home about.

The Lone Buffalo is a unique and pleasantly upbeat restaurant/brewery with knowledgeable staff, a diverse menu, and a fun family oriented ambiance. The short rib and bone marrow appetizer was fantastic with amazing flavor and accompaniments! We went on a Saturday night where the prime rib is advertised to be their special but they were unfortunately out by 7pm. Overall, it's nothing out of your ordinary farm to table/brewery/gastropub. However, I would recommend it if you're passing through and looking for a guaranteed good meal.

Travel to Ottawa for business, and The Lone Buffalo is our go to place at the end of the day. Corinna, Shannon, and the entire staff greet us, inform us of all the specials of the day, and make their recommendations for the best new beers on tap. We love it and can't say enough good things. The soup of the day is always my go to, and the chef is very proud of the daily selections. Currie and Carrot was Wednesday special, and while it didn't excite me at first, I thought, why not, I have never been disappointed. So glad I went for it. It was outstanding. Very smooth, great flavor, and just enough to go with the flight taster that Shannon recommended. Corrina then shared with us that they are on their way to opening several new spots in the Chicago suburbs where we live. So excited for them!! Love the entrepreneur spirit!! Best, Sharon K.

The food was amazing. The chicken pot pie soup was over the top delicious. We had the Cheddar Steak Panini, incredible fantastic and delicious. Our waitress Erica took excellent care of us. Definitely returning.

Sat outside during the eclipse and ate at this place for the first time. Amazing food; had the cauliflower wings and grilled cheese/pulled pork sandwich. So good! Great drinks too! Would definitely go back on another visit to starved rock!

Fantastic brewery and restaurant in the heart of Ottawa. The staff was friendly and accommodating, the food and beer were great! Stopped here after a long day of hiking at Starved Rock State Park looking for dog friendly places.

We would say go if all you want is beer. Food was so so and any beverages other than beer were less than exciting.

Our experience was decent overall. The highlight was definitely the wide selection of beers available, catering to all tastes. We tried two flights and were satisfied with our selections. The food was mediocre and nothing noteworthy. I would suggest dropping by for a beer, as that seems to be their specialty. Prices were on par with other breweries, but slightly higher for the area.

We walked in to sit in the resturant, and seated in the tasting room. Staff was slow and not very responsive. Food was good.

This restaurant truly shines with its exceptional service and consistently satisfying food. While additional vegetarian options would enhance the experience, the chef and servers are always open to accommodating meatless dishes, which is greatly appreciated. Whether for lunch or dinner, it's a delightful dining destination worth trying.

Jordan is a GREAT waitress! Always on the ball and willing to go the extra mile. But, you can't really go wrong. Ashley and Lilly, are A+ as well. Great food. The place is always clean and inviting. I eat there at least once a week never disappointed.

Today was my 67th Birthday, and this is our third time coming to The Lone Buffalo. The first time we ate here which was over a year ago, the food was horrible. We thought we would give it a second chance and the second time, the food was very good. Today was our third time, and we spent over $85.00 and the food was awful. I can't cook to save my life, but I can make better food than what I ate today. My stuffed mushrooms were terrible, and without any flavor. My wife had a salad, which was very soggy. My son had the Short Rib & Bone Marrow, another dish with no flavor. My son also had the Chili as an appetizer which was runny and awful. I will say that the service and atmosphere was excellent. My one star rating is really reflective of the food, and the money we had to waste today. I knew we should have gone to the Uptown Grill.
