Great atmosphere, great service, and great food! My wife and I met three other couples for dinner here for our first time ar Agios. Im glad this place was selected! Let's start with the fantastic clam chowder, which I would highly recommend getting for an appetizer! I just wish they offered this in a bowl instead of a cup as It's too damn good to just have a cup! This is the best clam chowder that I've ever experienced! Someone ordered some nice bottles of cabs for dinner, which I downed with my bread and calamari dishes! Every time I set my cup of water down, it was quickly refilled by the fabulous Lucio! The main course was the house made lobster ravioli......this was unbelievable! I had to get another bread basket to soak the delicious leftover sauce from the ravioli. A couple of my buddies got the lamb shanks, which looked like it was cut from the Fred Flintstone era. These were humongous! I had a great cup of coffee to settle my stomach down. Our waitress was fantastic, always attentive and prompt with her appearance. If you are looking for an Italian restaurant in Palantine, stop over at Agios! I don't give 5 stars often, but this place earns and deserves it!

Food descent small portions, small glass of wine 5 6 0z. Noisy , small dining room, bartender too busy to be nice. Would not go back.. duck, not so good. Unhappy diner.

Fantastic food and service, and a pretty decent wine list as well.
We've been coming to Agio for 15 years. That should speak for itself. The food is spot on, delicious, good size meal. Honestly, we've never had a bad meal through the years. Great wine selection too. If you have a sweet tooth, don't skip the carrot cake - one of the best we've had and meant to be shared. Would recommend Agio's for any occasion, any night of the week.

We had reservations at 6:30 and when we got there we decided to eat at the bar. Patrick was the bartender and server etc and was absolutely amazing. Fun, talkative, attentive and made several recommendations on food. The food was very good and drinks were well prepared. Will be back to dine at the bar because of Patrick

Rose was a great server, been there for years and knows the place. Food is always exceptional and reliable. Baked clams are excellent. Shrimp diavalo also excellent. Good cocktails. Highly recommend.
This is a reasonably-priced Italian restaurant with great food!I went with the Barrington Singles Group for a Sunday dinner, and we were not disappointed.Service was good, in spite of our large group.Agio's has a reasonable selection of wines and beers. The atmosphere is quite welcoming.I will return here soon for another dinner.
Took my better half here for Valentine's Day and it was perfect. Great ambiance and amazing food... the service was amazing too. Highly recommended for an intimate and romantic date.

Loved the food. Went at lunch, so it was mostly empty. Service was eh, but it was lunch, so not unexpected. But the food was delicious. Will definitely return.

This was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. The lasagna was excellent, the drinks were great, and our server, Pedro, was so knowledgeable with suggestions and could not have been nicer. The only thing that ruined our meal was a large party next to us who was making a stink about something minor and basically there were adults throwing tantrums. It was embarrassing. Besides that unfortunate downer, I will definitely be dining here again!
I love the veal.
