Delicious food and pie. Are they opening back up?

The pies are excellent! Unfortunately, the service is the overwhelming focus of this review.Called today to order a pie. I know that I can do that online - as the default hold music / recording reminded me over 100 times today, not exaggerating - but I wanted to order a *specific* pie that is only listed by the slice on their website. So yes, I tried that first.Selected option one in the call menu, “to go orders.” Waited for 12 minutes before I had to hang up. I was reminded every 30 seconds that I could place the order online. I GET IT. I’m still on the phone, so maybe stop telling me?Called again an hour later, and selected option two for “future pie reservation.” I was on the phone for 45 minutes listening to hold music and a recording telling me, every 30 seconds, I could order the pie online. Except I can’t order this specific pie online.Tried one more time a half hour later and selected option three to speak to a team member. The recording told me about “free pie Wednesdays” every 30 seconds for 11 minutes, until I got frustrated and hung up. It was even funnier because every time it said “ask a team member for details” and I thought, I would, if I could speak to one.EDIT: Despite Google saying it was open, the Baker’s Square website *also* saying it was open, and it being normal business hours on a Friday… it seems the store was temporarily closed today. I found that out by diving into the online orders menu, where it told me I couldn’t place an order at this location.Maybe… put that info in your recording instead?

Would be nice if you posted that the restaurant is closed on pie pick up day. Rather than having to wait in the pie pickup line to get into the parking lot only to find out the restaurant is not open. Have no idea how the food or service here is any good. Could not try it.

I used to have a Baker's Square nearby where I grew up and still live in Schaumburg. However that location closed over 10 years ago! lolVegetarian options: Salads, breakfast options like pancakes, waffles, eggs, toast, fruit, and hash browns, etc...

The food was great and the service was the best of any Bakers Square.....

Bought an apple pie from Bakers Square. Expected a quality pie, however, crust was soft, mushy, and tasteless. I can get better quality from Mariano's or Jewel, and pay less. What a disappointment.

Drove all the way to Bakers Square where on line their hours are posted 8am-5pm. Arrived at 3:20 & was told they don't serve food after 3pm & only sell pies until 5! They need to change their advertisement on line. What a joke! Guy behind counter was not nice either. Guess nobody wants business anymore, so sad.

Dropped by for a quick slice of cake, and got there right before they closed at 3pm on a Saturday. Something about nostalgia and a brand in it's death rattle is what made me want to drop in. I remembered a much larger pie case at a different location when I was younger. Either way nothing terrible or spectacular about this location.

The front desk guy is not friendly at all. The food was not good. Hash browns were burned and over cooked. The omelette was very dry and had no taste. The only good thing was the pancakes. The pancakes are very small. I’m not coming back again!

Since April this eatery has only had dine in until 3 pm. During 3 to 5 they sell pies and carry out. They need to make that clear on the website.Parking: Parking is right next the to restaurant.

The food is ok. I had a burger, and the bf had some eggs with potatoes and bacon. Didn't have a pie this time.

LOVE bakers square. Everything about it. The nostalgia. Good home style food. Love how they offer smaller portions on the menu so I don't feel like I've wasted anything. Not to mention, you get 2 sides included. What restaurant does that anymore

Terrible pie. Looks and tastes mass produced. Used to be the best pies in the business. Highly disappointed.

Hadn't been to a Baker's square in years! Went for lunch today and took a trip down memory lane. So happy to see they still have a location not too far away. The food was amazing, so fresh and very hot. We shared a slice of pie and they even cut it in half for us so we each had our own. Server was attentive as well. We will be back soon!
