Lots of cars in the parking lot so you know it's good!!! We had great service from Manny. I felt like getting something light today and didn't expect it to wow me. Ordered the healthy scrambler and it was full of flavor! Was so good and filling! My husband ordered the Latina skillet and thought it was rich and spicy! Generous portions!

My husband and I met some friends for breakfast at Cafe Fourteen. Despite the restaurant being very packed on a Sunday, our group of six were able to be seated right away. Our server was very nice and friendly. I ordered the avocado omlete with fruit and pancakes. The food was delicious. You get a lot of food for the money. The only downside was the wait. It took over twenty minutes to get our food from the time we ordered. Getting boxes and taking care of our checks also took longer than expected. Overall, this was a great experience and I can't wait to come back and try more. I recommend Cafe Fourteen.

Good food at good prices. Went for a brunch on a Sunday at 11 a.m., and it was super crowded by local people catching up. I recommend reservations. Ambiance: it's an average diner, but the service is very friendly and efficient, and our server was great.

Stopped in after a basketball game and what a great stop. Old school feel as you walk thru to be seated. Our server took our orders and was awesome The food was excellent Service was excellent Prices very good Easy to park. I had a shrimp burger that was awesome If you're up in the area make sure to stop by

The place was really buzzing with customers. The service for taking my carry out order and filling it was stellar. I liked the potato soup particularly because it has a chicken soup base. Did not care for the pieces of uncooked bacon floating around in it. Would have liked a better ratio of potatoes to broth/soup….more potatoes…consistency of the potatoes was good. I will return!

Definitely a MUST! The atmosphere has a great vibe but of course the food is the star. We had brunch with beer and mimosas. Yum! Avocado omlette and Greek skillet were the only item we tried so they can definitely be recommended. We will have to let you know what else is good when we go for round 2.

I don't frequent Palatine anymore, so I unfortunately don't get to visit my favorite breakfast spot on the regular, but I stopped in today for brunch and it still holds the title as my favorite diner. It was Sunday at around 12:30 PM and it was PACKED, but we were able to get a table right away. The sunrise omelette and hashbrowns were cooked perfectly. You'd think eggs are simple enough that you couldn't possibly mess up, but after going to a few diners recently that gave me odd textured eggs, overcooked eggs and watery omelettes, I have more appreciation for a soft, fluffy omelette that is cooked just right. The pancakes are my absolute favorite and love that they aren't skimping on portions. Breakfast here keeps me full for most of the day. Of course, I could take half home and save it for later, but how can you stop when the food is so good?
I often meet three of my buddies here for breakfast. It's one of our favorites. Great food. Nice atmosphere. Excellent service. Angie takes great care of us even though we hang out long after the food has been devoured. Highly recommended.

We like coming here because my son loves their pancakes (mascarpone pancakes are to die for) but their customer service at least from the women-younger girls is awful. Can’t ask for something without being looked at weird like we’re an inconvenience. The gentleman that work here are very sweet and polite.Sat here for maybe an hour and had asked for coffee and creamer and never got it but was offered more coffee right when we were leaving lol…
I decided to go to this cafe for the first time. At first, I was hesitant, but I ended up enjoying it a lot! This is an amazing cafe with wonderful workers and food! The plants inside made the air smell so fresh, and it was beautiful! Our waiter was so wonderful and the workers there are so kind!! Please come to Cafe Fourteen!
